Good morning! :hello:
Just a quick one from me this morning to wish everyone a good day and to say thank you for the kind comments re MIL and the stairlift!
Looks like a lovely day (down here in the South east at any rate) for a BBQ. We won't be having one as DH doesn't like barbequed food, but I bet several of our neighbours will
Catowen - so sorry to hear about your Auntie (((HUGS)))
and ((((HUGS)))) to all who need them today.
Must rush now and have a shower before church. Will pop back later.
Best wishes

Good Morning All
Sorry I didnt catch up with the thread yesterday so hope everyone is ok & (((hugs))) if you need one.
Tired-Mum - well done for your DD - hope you all enjoy the ceremony.
Thanks for the hugs - was very low yesterday but today am more positive and in fighting mode. We have decided on the changes to make our business continue longer which unfortunately does mean some of our drivers will be on a four day week for a short while - will have to break the news to them tomorrow evening - not a pleasant thing to do. However if we dont do it, the whole business could go and they could all lose their jobs. We are still chasing a contract which if it happens in the near future will mean they wont have to cut their hours.
Anyway the sun is shining very brightly here and is hot already. Had to stand under a tree when watching DS footie training yesterday - I am not moaning but it was too hot.
Have 1 load of washing on the line and one in the machine, have to pop out to a little tesco express later to stock up on packed lunch stuff and need to sort what I am wearing for the court tomorrow and all the necessary papers.
Will get some sunshine today as will pop down the beach or the sea wall with the dog. We have put up the kids swimming pool but at the moment the water is freezing.
Anyway hope you all have wonderful days whatever you are doing.

Happy New House to Jet :j
Redruby - so glad of the good news for your nephew :T
Well I was very busy yesterday (for me!), I got some of my veg plants potted up and some seeds sown (lettuce, spinach, spring onion and some herbs). I've only been successful with basil and coriander in the past so I hope they grow! Then I went round to my friend's who is moving house soon and having a bit of a clear out first, she offered me some bits that would have otherwise gone to a charity shop. This includes steak knives, some crockery, a large mirror and two bikes!! There is also a lot of garden items, pots, brush etc and electrical ones such as a hedge trimmer and power washer! I have stressed that I'm happy to consider them as a loan and give them back when she's settled (she's going into rental for a while). Still, she's a wonderful friend and very generous and I'm very grateful.
OH's DDs came yesterday but only for a few hours, DD2 isn't well and wanted mum and home. It turns out she has a chest infection. I feel really impotent at times like that, I want to help, but I remember when I was little and poorly only my mum could make me feel better.
I've more planting/potting up to do today. I also need to get the bedding into the WM. I'll try to do a little bit in the house but it normally gets neglected in good weather. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Hope you all have a lovely sunny day.

Good morning everyone

Smoky, thinking of you and your LOs. ((hugs))
tired mum, Congrats to your DD!
Ivyleaf, glad to see your mum is getting the help she needs now. As someone else said (can't remember who, sorry) phone, phone and keep phoning until its all sorted.
redruby fantastic news for your DNephew.
Churchmouse - is it your Church's anniversary or yours and Mr CM's? Congratulations, either way.
Poggie, good to read that DH's eye is improving.
catowen sorry for your loss. ((hugs)) Glad that your DBro and his wife were so helpful for you yesterday. Sorry for my lack of support when you needed it from the OS board.
((((hugs)))) and hellos to everyone I haven't mentioned. There's too much happening here today to mention absolutely everyone by name.
Well, yesterday didn't go as planned. DD and I went to play crazy golf. I was marking the scores on a card as we were walking between holes and I managed to stumble into a massive hole in the greens and wrench my ankle. Didn't hurt too bad to start with but by the time I got home I couldn't move it. So a visit to A&E resulted. Haven't broken it but have badly sprained it and I'm struggling to walk on it. So, DS and DD are being very helpful and doing all the things that I would normally do at the weekend.
DD is now ironing her uniform (after she put the WM on), DS is going to hang the washing out and then iron his uniform and he will also do the roast chicken for dinner later. They are both being little :A this weekend.
No mass today as I can't walk or drive. Having a shower is going to be great fun as I'm not sure how I can climb in and out of the bath.
Have a sunny Sunday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Good Morning All
Another sunny day here. Ive been up since 7.20am, Pegged washing out, and another load in the WM, will change the beds after the morning shop at Mr T's in a mo! Just got back from the local car boot, it was packed, but nothing worth buying!
Ive sold the car!!! A little more than what the scrap yards was offering. Chap coming to collect it later! He's paid a deposit!
Went to see DAD y-day, as it was his birthday. I got him a gift card for B&Q in the end! I was there for about 20mins, and it was a civil & pleasant visit! I think on this note, I will make more of an effort to visit more & hopefully every meeting will be easier! Would have stopped longer, but OH needed the car to do a car boot! He did better than last wk, so thats a little more towards the car fund!
I didn't go to work Friday! My dizzy spells came back! Worse than ever, so I'll be phoning the doctors tomorrow to get a check up!
(((hugs))) to mrs-mix, jayward (take it easy), smokey, penny-pincher, catzine, anniebooklover, and of course anyone else who needs one!
Best be off & tackle the weekly shop now!
Take care
Love Emma xxx
