Morning all, are we well?
Hugs to those who need or want them, especially Catowen. Shame you can't get to the funeral - I'm sure your uncle will understand though.
Its a glorious day here in Skipton, so I might dig out the pegs and get the washing hung out rather than using the TD. Must remember to run a wet cloth along the line to clean it first though.
Going to get a little baking done later on, and it will only be a little. We have loads of chickens, but because of DH's egg orders, I can only use two today. I haven't used any in over a week!
Jet - where have you moved to? I know you weren't that far from me before. Just being nosey!
Hope you all enjoy the sun,
Metherer
(Who doesn't usually mention people by name, but always wishes everyone well.)Not heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.

I won't make this a big post as it's been Mother's Day over here and I've had a lovely day but I've finished it off with a few (too many
) glasses of red and I'm a bit pishy.
Hugs to you all andto Pink & PenPen. Hope you all have a great sunday nad that's about it. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning.
It's amazing what a difference a bit of sunshine makes
I'm so jealous of all you that are growing things in the garden, our yard just looks like a bomb site, full of all sorts of rubble and weeds. I suppose really that I could try and grow a few things in pots, maybe a trip to a garden centre would inspire me.
Catowen...what a bargain with those seeds, very clever to only buy what you need. Sorry to hear about your aunt, even if you had the petrol money to go, then it's sod's law that you would get a call the day before offering you work on the day of the funeral. I hope another LO comes along soon, it's one of the pains about being self employed, you are totally at the mercy of others. :grouphug:
AnnieB, the ankle sounds painful.
Essex-Girl, hugs to EssexBoy, again the joys of working for yourselves
Mumzyof2, I totally agree that you need to have some savings, even putting aside just a few coins every day will soon mount up and give that cushion you need.
Jayward, how are you feeling today?
Tru, love the piccies, they look so much like miniature adults kisses for Reggie.
Big hugs to Pen-Pin and Smoky and those I haven't mentioned that also need a hug.

Morning all (Just)
So much for my lazy evening yesterday, we got a call from DBIL, he was in tears, as I said before his marriage is in meltdown he came to stay for a few days, went home, but things went from bad to worse & now he's back. He arrived at 8ish last night, in tears, with a binbag full of wet washing & I've been up, listening to his woes & trying to keep him focussed on himself & his youngest son. I've persuaded him to see a solicitor & given him a list of things to say, (bossy cow, aren't I). I will take time off work to go to the solicitors with him, he's a big softy, just like my hubby & needs someone in his corner.
Catowen I once had 15 children in total on my books just to make up the 3 full time I was allowed. I'm always happy to offer words of support, but sometimes hold back as I know some people don't approve of my blog & would be offended by words of support from me.
Hugs to Smokey, PP, Mrs Mix, Candy, Jayward & everyone else in need.
I can see I'm going to spend all day rushing to the loo, stress does that to me & the next few months are going to be stressful.
Hugs Hester

:hello: everyone!
Well, I've only just got up! The life of being a student is good sometimes!
I'm going to try and attempt to make some tomato soup today () because I have lots of tomatoes that need using as they were on the reduced bit in sainsburys as they were going out of date today, so I scooped them up and plonked them on my trolley. I'll let you know how it goes - I've never attempted tomato soup before! Other than that, today is a revision day as its my first exam on Tuesday and am dreading it
(((HUGS))) to those who want/need one

The weather is wonderful here; bright, warm and sunny - have the family coming round later so no doubt I'll be playing footie in the garden with them.
I have only skimmed the thread at speed and will try and catch up with you all later.

B****y frog has just jumped out on me in the garden, I am terrified of frogs, and OH is not here to get rid of it, I ran down the garden shouting S**t S**t, and have come in and locked the doors, I know that it may seem irrational, but the frogs that live in my garden are actually killer frogs, with a big thumb which has a sharp claw like thing on, and if I get too close it will go for the throat, I am going to have to stay in now till its gone, or till OH gets back
Hester, hugs to your BIL, and I for one love your blog xx0 -

Bless you! You've just made me laugh (which probably wasn't your intention! :rotfl:) do you normally get frogs in your garden? maybe stay inside a while, and wait til it hops off somewhere else!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Slowlyfading, yup my garden has always been full of frogs, typical, the thing that gets me is I was weeding one of my pots for a while, and it jumped out of the pot  , I can't go out there in case it does it again, I am standing at the back door looking out for it with a pair of OH binoculars
. And if it disapears it will probably be lying in wait ready to get me.
