Could you not explain how much you need DH and see if he can be there either longer or more often?

Good luck with the barbecue and with the procedure.:grouphug:

Penny Pincher - hope all goes well for you this week. Hopefully the visiting hours won't be as restrictive as you fear, and hopefully too, you'll find staff more helpful than you're expecting. Loads of ((HUGS)) anyway.

    Afternoon

Worked this morning then spent the rest of the day lounging around reading Cosmo.

Had a great weekend. Spent a lot of time with a friend I haven't seen for a while.

One more week and I have my first week off since Christmas so that will be great. I can get people in for quotes on the windows at the flat, to get that moving.
Had great news today - got more work coming my way:T Things are hopefully starting to take off.

Hope everyone's ok - off to finish dinner

    Hello !!

Hester - I only discovered your blog this week but it looks good to me. As Pink says if anyone is offended they can ignore it; but I find it sad if someone would be offended by supported genuinely offered due to it.

((((Pen-pin)))) hope all goes well for you.

Well today I have very definitely "pottered" - as it was mentioned a couple of times on yesterday's thread I too like the word. I've done a bit more potting up, planted out my cabbages (1st time with these I really hope they grow ok), done some watering and light pruning and thats about it. OH bought us new bedding and an iron which were both desperately needed, and has started to tackle the ironing mountain. We've also rather sensibly put the new bedding on now rather than waiting till bed time when it becomes a chore (which is our usual trick).

Tea will be pasta with fennel pesto (thought I'd try it as I love both), yesterday's gammon and bits of veg. I'd better get on with it. I'll try to sort the kitchen out a bit as I go.

I'm feeling very peaceful and chilled so I'll send out some vibes to anyone who wants them.

    Take care all xxxxxxxx

So pleased about your nephew - but feel it is a dreadful thing to have to type IYKWIM! A lot of us thought the mother would miss the cash more than the boy.

I think you are assolutly right saying that, unfortunatly she has been on the phone today to my mum saying that she is determined she will get him back, lets hope not.

Well froggie has disapeared so we had dinner in the garden, which is looking good, its had a good tidy today, and the lawns have been mown.

We also took little dog up to the woods for a couple of hours, she had a delightfull time chasing squirels, it was a lot cooler there due to the tree cover, OH found £5 in the woods, last time we went there he found £10. ;)

He saw his friend today, and came back very down, he said the sense of humour is still there, but he is so skinny, and cannot control his body movements, its terribly sad. Puts all the little grumbles we all have into perspective.

    Have good evenings all xx

Hugs to pen pin, when do you go in hun ?

Jayward your ds made me laugh, you should think of a way to get him back if you get to meet her, hugs xx

    Evening all,

Hugs to all who are feeling down, unwell or who have unwell family...unfortunately there seem to be many suffering at present.

Quiet day to-day...got a big tray of left over lasagne from a friend's party on Friday night...we had it to-day for dinner and there are four portions gone into the freezer...really nice too, homemade.

warm here, so watered the garden, hate starting as it seems to continue all summer, but it does mean that the weather is fine. Everything is flying at present, but need to sow more salad stuff, some of it has gone to seed.

Haven't been around much today because I've had family round; I've had a lovely afternoon with them but it was too hot to play footie with DGS and DGD! We just flopped around and enjoyed each other's company.

PENPIN - I'm thinking of you and wish you the best of luck for your time in hospital.

REDRUBY - glad the frog seems to have disappeared! It's horrible being scared of something! My DH won't go fishing because he hates dead fish heads! He doesn't know why, he just does; and wasps, but I can understand that because they do seem to go for him! I've lost count of the number of times I've seen him being chased down the garden by one! They don't like me!

Well, it's finally cooled down now and the temperature is just right. I'm going to have an early bath and just mooch around knitting. I'm recording Indiana Jones so, if I haven't dozed off by the time it's finished, I'll try and watch that too.

Hope everyone has a good evening.
