Morning all - just
Aussie - your photos is .... well I just can't believe that you managed to make yourself as presentable as that with only an hour to prepare
good luck to Mr Dogrose today - hope it's not too hot for him
Catowen - i'm sure your family will understand -
hugs to those who are poorly or have poorly OH's to look after.
Late getting up this morning - dd(11) came in at 7.30 to shout at me for not having moved dgs from her bed last night and now it's wet so I lost the will to get up really and went back to sleep. mattress has been washed and will hopefully be dry by this evening. both children are watching rubbish on TV while I sort out all the gubbins for the Baking Extravaganza.
I sort of started a blog last night but am not quite ready to reveal it to all you clever bloggers but just wanted to know whether I am allowed to post a recipe so long as I acknowledge the source without breaching copyright - I don't want to get into trouble. I think actually that I might just not put the actual recipe up but just say where it comes from. I am so nervous about it that I have had to phone loads of family members to make sure it's ok to put their photos on as well.
Have good days everyoneI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Oh dear! Lol I can see why it scared you though - having a seemingly empty plantpot one minute, and a flying frog the next!Slowlyfading, yup my garden has always been full of frogs, typical, the thing that gets me is I was weeding one of my pots for a while, and it jumped out of the pot  , I can't go out there in case it does it again, I am standing at the back door looking out for it with a pair of OH binoculars
. And if it disapears it will probably be lying in wait ready to get me.

Afternoon everybody!
Hugs and wishes to all those who would like them and those of you who don't well tough I am sending them anyway!
It has been a really lovely day so far. DD and I got up early and made DH breakfast in bed. We have all been for a walk round one of the local lakes, the deserted high street and I have had an hours sleep!
DH has now gone off to work and so DD and I are currently trying to decide what we fancy for lunch as we don't want a boring old sandwich!
Hope everyone has some fun today!

My neighbours are ace
I've just been talking to W next door. Technically he's not a neighbour, he just stays over with M three times a week. They're in their 80s, I keep getting told 'there's nothing going on, mind' lol. He was talking about the price of veg and said 'It cost 40p for one jacket potato the other day - 40 BLOODY PENCE - that's 8 BLOODY SHILLINGS, that's disgusting'
One of the kids who live at the back of us hung over the fence last night holding a frog and said 'we've found this, is it yours?' We said maybe, it probably lives in our pond and she asked us if we'd like it back so mr tru went to get it lol. When she climbed back down, her brother said 'did we get a reward?' She said no and he was really disappointed :rotfl:
This morning I wanted to pull up a couple of tomato plants that have died, and replace them with healthy ones. But I didn't wake up til nearly 10am (last night's wine knocked me out lol) and the greenhouse was baking, there's no way I'm going in there in this heat. So I'll have to wait til tonight. My strawberries, tayberries, raspberries and another berry (can't remember what it is lol) have flowered, the broad beans are starting to flower, the potatoes are shooting up, the blueberries are losing their flowers so will have fruit soon
and my herbs and salad leaves are still little but look strong. We have a huge wisteria growing up the back of the house, we've trained it round the windows. The windows are all wide open, I wish you could all smell it
2 loads of washing on the line and another in the machine, the animals are outside munching on grass, the male trus are out and miss tru is going out in a mo. When she's gone I might open more wine..............Bulletproof0 -
Afternoon everyone
It`s lovely and sunny here and i really don`t want to go to w**K:mad:
I`ve been pottering around the garden with the houndlets and my little black cat who all appreciate the weather. My route to w**k is closed today so i`ll have to go a different route that i only normally use when it`s daft o`clock and there is no other traffic around so i`m a bit nervous about it as i only normally use little back roads as i`ve not been driving too long and the big roads make me nervous:o
DH has gone fishing until tomorrow so my sister will be along later so sit with the dogs for an hour and let them out for the loo, the youngest houndlet has a dickie tummy so i`ve just given her some hard boiled eggs so i`ll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best, sorry TMI there probably:o
Before DH went away he fetched me 2 tubs of woodstain and 2 huge bags of compost so i`ll be able to start planting onions and carrots now and i`ve also found a packet of vine tomato seeds from last year so i`ll put some in a hanging basket i think.
Redruby - you can send the frog here to me, perhaps it will help to get rid of all the slugs and snails ( do they eat snails?) we do have neighbours with ponds so we do get some frogs and they`ve made me jump before but i`m learning:D
Churchmouse - Happy Anniversary!
Best get a wiggle on so i`m ready to leave on time, hope you all have a lovely afternoon.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
RedRuby - I hate to say this but I actually like frogs and have a pond specially for them! You wouldn't believe how many meet up in there in early spring for a massive breeding frenzy! Mind you, I don't have any killer frogs with vicious thumbs. I hate toads, though; they really scare me.
I hope it's soon safe to venture back out in your garden. I do understand the fear - I hate maybugs so much they make me throw up and I don't go out after dusk in May, not even into the garden!

Which site are you using?
erm - i had to have a google thingy so I expect it's that. all i was going to do today is put up some pictures of the results of the Baking Extravaganza and thought that people might be interested in the recipes - the kids are being lazy beggars though so we haven't even started yetI might have to pass my own work off as theirs at this rate.
