Morning people and (((hugs))) to people feeling under the weather.
Sunny and warm here. Was up at 6 and took dogs down to the common. It was absolutely lovely - birds singing, rabbits still out, gorse in full bloom. Dogs now sleeping.
I'm not sure what I'll end up doing today. Did quite a bit of 'spring cleaning' yesterday - much needed!! Might do some more or might have a more lazy day. Food is easy as I'm here on my own for that and will have left over rice and mixed bean salad so there won't be much to do there!
Off to water the garden pots. I'm inspired to plant my mixed salad leaves - have been saying I'll do this for a while but the prices of lettuce quoted on here are enough to make me get a move on!

Good morning everyone,
Thank you for the good wishes yeaterday - sorry i threw my toys out the pram, normally i have only drivel to say, so dont expect anyone to notice/mention me, but i did feel a bit upset, as it was the second time i had asked for a bit of support and the second time i had been ignored - the first time only Hester noticed, and Friday only Shez, so it did make me feel a bit down as normally everyone is so supportive.
Ive been having a bit of a bad week, which didnt help, on Thursday i found out that my aunt, who is also my godmother had died - i didnt mention it as i havnt seen her for years, (we dont have a lot of close relations) but it is still very upsetting - im not able to attend the funeral as its in North Devon, so too far for me to go as i dont have any money for petrol or anyone who can look after my children (i cant afford to take the day off work, although i have a feeling i dont have anyone to look after that day anyway - its like Hester said yesterday, it is feast or famine with this job sometimes!!) although im not going to worry too much, ive sent my uncle a card and i know he will understand.
Hopefully with these new children who are starting in June, it should help me with my finances a bit more, CM, yes, i do still have a space for a baby if anyone needs one, although now i have these new ones, it takes the pressure off finding a LO.
Anyway, after dragging the thread down, hopefully i can lift it a bit now - my sister, BIL and nephew came to visit for the day yesterday, and we had a lovely time. She brought food, which helps a lot and BIL brought his tools, so we were able to go and get the fence panels, which he put up really quickly. He also helped mend DSs bike, replaced my bulbs in the outside spotlights and helped dig up some more of my garden so i have some more space to plant some more veg. Bargain of the day - went to the garden center who were selling loose runner bean seeds. My sister who grew some last year said she only needed about 12 seeds, so bought just what she needed. Of course, when thye were weighed, they didnt register on the scales at all, so she was charged 1p!!! I thought, although i hadnt planned on growing runner beans this year, i can cope with that, so did the same - cheeky checkout girl charged me 2p for mine!!! Im not bothered tho, if they work, i will get weeks of runner beans for 2p, bargain!!!
Still havnt been able to get my wireless internet working, and sister and BIL didnt have a clue either, so might pop over to the techie board later for some advice.
Anyway, the weather is absolutly georgeous here, i hope everyone else is having good weather too!

Morning everyone :hello:
Thank you for wishing OH wellwent to see him yesterday and he can open his eye now which is great and it's not as sensitive to light. Still looks a mess but hopefully on the mend. Docs couldn't work out what is causing the infection so he's going to be stuck in hospital till the cultures have grown so maybe till the middle of the week
The nurses are really nice and doing a fab job with the drops every half hour so :T :T :T to them!
Not sure what we'll be up to today yet. Need to get the girls out and about in the fresh air so i'll have a think. Will go and see OH at visiting time this eve.
Hope everyone has a good day0 -
Good morning:D
Beautiful day here too! I've showered and made my coffee, so I'm having 10 minutes on here before I do anything else.
Church in a bit, and it's a busy day because it's our anniversary so lots going on. Thankfully I'm not(unusually!!!) involved in any cooking there today. Normally we have a Church lunch, but for various reasons it got altered this year. I'm really glad, because it would have been awful in this heat.
catowen, glad you feel better today. I think you'll find that some people didn't post on the days you'd have liked support, and others rushed in and out very quickly:D Glad you'll still have room for a baby if one turns up, I don't know anything about the restrictions on numbers, ages etc (can you tell:o ) but I know there are some. Sorry about your aunt, that's hard not to be able to go to the funeral.
Jet, glad the move went well. Don't try to get it all done at once. It'll not go anywhere you know;)
wmf, I've been thinking about trying to grow some salad veg, but don't have much suitable space. Mind you the amount of salad we've eaten the last few days I could save a fortune!!!!
Well best get off and dry my hair, before it dries completely " au naturel"
(((((hugs))))) to all, especially smoky, mrs mix, candygirl, JackieO(:j )

morning all,
another beautiful day here, looks like it might be as hot as yesterday but with a breeze, I am going to go and potter in the garden in a while, I bought some strawberry plants yesterday, so will get them in.
OH has gone off to see his friend today, the poor man who has been told he only has 3 months to live, well actually he has not been told, but his parents have, OH has left early as the chap tires easily and so they need to get in there quite early, his eye sight has all but gone now, so OH and another friend are going to buy him a mp3 player so he has something to listen to, he is in a hospice and very bored, poor man, certanly makes you count your blessings.
So DD is off with her dad for the day, and I am going to potter in the garden,
Oh the other great news is that nephew is saying in the home for the forseable future for his own safety :T :T , I tell you I could kiss the person that decided that, my brother is very pleased, he can see it will do nephew good, but SIL is spitting feathers, I personally think its because she will now loose her carers allowance, ( good because she never cared anyway ).
So its good news for nephew, he and his carer are going to my mums for lunch today, he has a carer with him continually, they had him tested and said that he has the danger perception (sp) of a five year old, so they are tying to go back to basics and teach him all the things he should have been taught. So thats good news for nephew.
Good luck to mr dogrose today,
Jet glad the move went well xx
Cat sorry to hear about your aunt, and glad you have some new LO to look after x
Huge hugs to smoky, mrs mix, candygirl and pen pin hope you all have better days xx
I was going to do a roast today, but its too hot so we will have jacket spuds, cheese, ham salad etc, might do a roast tomorrow if its a bit cooler.
Have good days all, off to get breakfast xx0 -

Catowen - hugs for you.I may not mention you (mind like a sieve as I get older) but you're often in my thoughts. If I do do any mentioning, you're usually there.

I plan on catching up with the house work ( It looks like we have been broken into ) w/m will need to be on all day to catch up. DH has exams strting next week so will be at the uni all day with his nose in many books.
Really pleased all of the veg seeds that I planted last week are up and some are about an 1in high.
If im lucky ill get to finish the new sophie kinsella book that i started last week in the garden with my feet up.:j0 -
Good Morning everyone! :hello:
Funny the thread being called Lazy Sunday - cos that's what my coffee is called that I'm trying out this morning! (reduced to 50p in asda)
Just been and turfed off the snails from my plants! I put pellets down last nite, but that doesnt seem to stop them! and I thought they weren't supposed to walk across those gravely stones? but they do! so its back to good old salt:o I shall have to look up that garlic wash that lady used on gardiners world this week, if I can find it. So I'm impressed by all those managing to grow veg in their gardens!!!
Yesterday I made some banana muffins and a dark fruit loaf (using up plain flour) it has to sit in a tin for 2 days before cutting, so haven't tried it yet.
Kids did some fairy cakes. Defrosted some chicken for a curry later, and make some nan bread using the mix I got on BOGOF (curry this weather:rolleyes: :rotfl: )
So I'm slowly using up all the stuff in the cupboards!!
DD has a party later this afternoon, but apart from that it will probably be keeping the kids occupied in the garden with the paddling pool!:D
N9eav - you sound busy with all that going on!!
tiredmum - have a nice time today!

catowen - Glad my small contribution helped:T things are tight here for us too, so appreciate that "every little helps" - my DH may be able to help you with your wireless connection problem - will pm you.
