I was gonna say, what's the point in linking to something to ask if it is relevant to the OP whilst reporting it at the same time? The likelihood being that it'll be gone before the OP manages to spot it.

The OP has already been scammed so was in this instance less important than trying to protect all the bidders on this new auction . Even if it was not the same guy I would rather stop this new scammer from collecting money from the winner and also offering second chance offers to all the underbidders and scamming them too. Under the new bidding anonymity I could only warn the winning bidder, I was not able to warn the underbidders to beware SCOs. Having got the auction removed a note will go out to all underbidders stating that an item on which they bid has been removed, and that should flag up problems (unless the buyers are a bit dim) and possibly save them their money.

    Surely the line:

If an event is officially cancelled we’ll contact you via the contact details you gave us when you booked your tickets. We’ll then explain what happens next about getting your money back.

    Gives you some backing? "
we’ll contact you via the contact details you gave us when you booked your tickets" How would they know when you booked your tickets. I know its to keep you away from the fact its a picture but they are basically saying what the auction is for.

I had a look at that listing and at the seller. I'm very confused by his feeback and ratings.

Lifetime summary: Positives: 0 Negatives: 0 | positive feedback: 93.8%

The last feedback he received was on 10th November 2007.

But, when you look at his detailed seller ratings, "since March 2007", 15 ratings have been left. He has no current items for sale and only the one ticket listing is shown in completed items. How does that work?

Oh dear, have ebay fiddled around trying to improve things again

Interestingly when I looked earlier his feedback percentage was different to that, yet he has not had any feedback for months so could not have changed from this morning to now.

I'm not even going to look at my feedback in case ebay are messing around with things.
