I am toying with slurging some points on an epilator as finding a window of time to wax is becoming problematic ..............

A pack of cheap razors and plenty of moisturiser have always worked fine for me! I got loads free with the recent expert 100 pointer too. :D

Sorry - that's probably not really helpful, is it? :o

I didn't know that - it seems to be in nearly everything I've got ! It also appears in toothpaste. "Many, though not all, toothpastes contain sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) or another of the sulfate family. SLS may cause a greater frequency of mouth ulcers in some people as it can dry out the protective layer of oral tissues causing the underlying tissues to become damaged."
I always used to get ulcers till I found a non SLS one.

Hi Jelly Tots - which is the toothpaste that you found? My youngest DS suffers constantly from mouth ulcers and despite trips to pharmacy (Boots of course) and mentioning to Doc, have never been told could be related to his toothpaste. Up until recently he used a children's one but now uses a Colgate one. Would be worth a try of a different one to stop his suffering.

Will post my shopping list now as probably not get chance later

Boots brand 20 6x4 glossy photo paper - on clearance at 50p per packet but went through till at 33p each

Epson black cartridges - clearance at 50p each but went through at BOGOHP

6 pack TD wipes - went first thing and had just stocked up - all gone by the time I left the store!!

Fuji disposable pink cameras with flash reduced to £1 and go through BOGOF

large photo albums - the ones where you peel back the plastic and is sticky for the photos - 1.55 and BOGOF (gonna give these to little ones to stick in their pics taken on above cameras)

Stickers for sticking pictures in albums - 250 in pack - 12p pr box and BOGOF

The small photo albums are now reduced to 35p and are still going through as BOGOF.

Tried Olay TE hand cream with tillspit but no joy. Also noticed TD gradual body tan now showing on SEL at 9.99 (but empty shelf) was only 4.99 last week. Reported on one of my previous posts re. random price changes so maybe this is going to be the new price once new packaging kicks in. Big hike though.

Hiya ! I mostly use Sensodyne Total Care Gel, although quite often I use whatever's free / cheap on points and risk the odd ulcer ! But as the person in this article says, there aren't that many around that don't contain SFS. I also find sugarfree gum (it's the artificial sweetener, I read somewhere) could be responsible for sore a mouth/ulcers. I seem to get lots when I've been chomping lots of it. HTH :D

Thanks Pollsdolls, don't worry about it. :)

I've said all I wanted to about the matter earlier.

Hi there, not been on here for a while but just wondered if you lovely bootsers could give me some advice? I have a £5 skincare voucher which is currently burning a hole in my pocket and a ROC £5 voucher. Any suggestions/combo's that I could do would be gratefully accepted. Cheers :)

Buy a pack of Roc wipes ( £5.99) you pay £0.99 and you get a till spit to get something else ( roc voucher counts as cash ) , as the Roc stuff is quite expensive I found this the best option:p

the Roc voucher does have a good date on it...mine burnt a hole too
This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.
