An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.[2]

Mmmm, I can think of quite a few people on here who fit this definition. Some of them even have multiple personalities.   In fact you could fit this definition B Dave., would you like to borrow a spoon?
    :D

pollsdolls, I know exactly what the word means, which I why I used it to tell Pash (a good friend) to ignore someone who I think was deliberately baiting her. I genuinely hate to see that on a forum.

I definately haven't got "multiple user" syndrome - and am hurt if that comment's directed at me - and anyone on MSE who knows me will tell you that.

    Regards
    Dave

forgive me as i haven't back read back but oh it hasn't all been cracking off again has it? What's the point of being a multiple user? odd! I haven't been coming on so much lately 1. because there isn't any good bootsing to be done near me and 2. all fighting and trolling not just on this board but on others too it really puts me off. I left one web-site because of all the trolls i don't want to leave this one too

    Don't feed the trolls

“ Yes, but are you the “Bootsing People's Front” or the “People's Front of Bootsing”? ” (copyright, Monty Python’s Life of Brian, 1979).
    Splitters! ;):p

*Jelly Tots* - bless you for having a sense of humour - it's appreciated. :)

    To reiterate and clarify:-

I don't think the old Boots gang are an elite (I was mimicking passion8's unfriendly use of the word). The old gang moved off to pastures new (as will the current lot in time) but still post here. I'm not that into Boots these days (more of a tesco boy now) but still regularly check the thread - mainly for post 1 or to skim thru the last few pages.

I haven't the time or inclination to keep up with the chat, cos it's concerning people I don't know. (There's nothing more boring than discovering that Joe Bloggs pet rabbit has died, when you don't even know who Joe Bloggs is!)

I think the chat is a problem on here and that's why I applauded whoever thought of the idea of posting latest glitches in a different colour.

As for remarks above about the old gang coming out of the woodwork, if you're skimming thru and see a comment implicity or explicity attacking you - wouldn't you reply?

Seems the show proved my old philosophy on skincare -- wash the face and use a moisturiser with sunblock. Since I've been Bootsing, I've added a few things on. I think I will stick to the Olay cleansers that I love (used to just use soap), and a moisturiser with sunblock. But I'll use up the other creams I have first, lol.
    Also research the ingredients yourself.

Things like Olay Regenerist can contain SLES and even SLS in the same formula. I'd only use that as a body scrub, never on my face.
