:jToday we harvested our first crop of new potatoes. We got 2.5lb from 4 small pots. Cooked them up for tea drizzled in olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic and rosemary. Roasted in the oven and served with fish. Delicious! :j
Everything got a thorough soaking yesterday in torrential rain and both water butts are now full to the brim.
Tomatoes starting to flower and lettuces ready to start picking in the next week or so.

Mrs M - what wonderful use you have made of your space, and now that everything is growing so healthily it looks like you're going to have some really worthwhile crops. I think that those people who have little growing space are really forced to exercise their ingenuity and plan their growing strategy carefully. If you have a huge allotment, the world is your oyster as far as growing crops, so Well Done! Please keep the pictures coming.0

MrsM: You are such an inspiration! Thank you for sharing your pictures and advice.
This is what I'm doing in the front garden:
Some strawberries, carrots, onion, and andive.
This is at the back of the house. My potato patch.
And at the other side of the compost bin I've just planted some green beens.
There's some strawberries in the trough there but they have to be mounted up on the fence as soon as I can get OH to put up the brackets for me.
I've got loads more but all those pictures would take up HUGE amounts of space so I wouldn't do that to you. In my greenhouse I'm growing tomatoes, cucumber, pumpkin (due to go out), pepper and chilli. Also got some leeks in there. They'll go outside when big enough and replace the mange toute that are now in bloom and giving me the loveliest little pods... Very very tasty.
Also got some lettuce further down in the front garden. I'm so looking forward to just picking a meal from my garden! This is only the beginning I tell you. My whole front yard is going to be transformed by next year.0 -
Thank you Elsewhere, will try the bleach on them, the bits inside the shed are the same as what's outside and it seems to be spreading, some of it seems to be coming off after being the sunhine so I'm trying to think of a way to sort them, because of where the shed is the sun rarely gets to that side of it.
