Hello again,
Ivyleaf - glad you are feeling better, hopw that DH will be feeling better soon xx
Churchmouse - I know i said to wave at the football, but there was no need to do a streak
 :rotfl: !!!
Well, my pasties were a success, even though i forgot to put salt and pepper in them - i didnt have any swede to make them proper Cornish Pasties, but i was happy with them (still miffed they put carrot in them on the telly yesterday!!) Ive also made some mozerella and cherry tomato tarts, which we will have for dinner so not sure how they have turned out yet.
Had a lovely surprise whilst i was cooking, my best friend who moved to Australia phoned, and we spent a lovely 1 1/2 hours catching up - did put all my plans out the window, but if i had the choice, the phone call would win everytime, really helped make my day.
I have cleaned the bathroom and toilets, and my plan before making dinner is to whip the hoover around upstairs - so think i will do that now!
Hope everyone is having a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Afternoon all
so sorry that the news wasn't better pam - a trouble shared and all that so let's not have any more nonsense about bringing the thread down.
My first camping trip was a sucess mostly - this was a first time out for some of my stuff so I didn't want to go too far away. The tent is great - pretty roomy for it's weight and my sleeping bag was too hot!!! the only downer was that the site was really noisy - you could hear the roads, trains and a bl**dy all-night factory-!!!-depot thing. Weather was mostly nice but i did have to decamp in the rain so the tent is now out in the garden drying out. Oxford is lovely but a lot of the places I wanted to go to were closed for graduation ceremonies. I've thought about doing some kind of blog but wouldn't know where to begin - can any of you lovely bloggers give me a head start?
Aaah relegation day - i phoned dbro to commiserate about the gills but am not-so-secretly pleased as it means we can have family derbys again. I did sympathetic for ..... oooh about 10 seconds but then started laughing. in my defence he laughed at me last year when the Bees went down about five games before the end of the season. Only one more week of footie left - I have asked ddad to send me some orange flags from holland but I'm not sure how much coverage there will be of Euro 2008
Anyway back to reality - house is pretty tidy thanks to dd(22) and dd(11) has her bedroom back - yay. exoh is just doing some finishing touches but i should be able to put everything back together this evening
love and hugsI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Have just returned from Guide Camp I am the QM(cook) so pretty tired right now.
DD was there as well so two lots of dirty washing to do - everything smells of the fire we had on Saturday night. Rained all day Sun but was lovely today so at least tents were dry.
Have just signed up to no spend week so that should be a challenge!!
Hugs to all who need them.
Off to change washing over.

Dorry - i feel you're probably right about this "friend". I have a couple like that. One contacted me asking me to pay her mortgage:eek: Another drops me like a new born giraffe as soon as there's a guy on the scene. Then gets drunk cos he doesn't turn up and then expects me to pick up the pieces. I'm thinking I don't need people like this so am slowly drifting away from them. You don't need clutter like that in your life. Do what's right for you. They'll either realise what a great friend you really are and start treating you properly, or that'll be it and then you'll know you've done the right thing
thanks scuzz, laughed out loud at the new born giraffe expression. I have been friends with her for 24 years and i married her cousin. I would not dream of treating anyone, in the way she has been doing for at least the last year.
thank you for listening and your advice xx'If you judge people, you have no time to love them'

Hi Guys!
Have been in and out of sleep today as not feeling to good again, but wont moan as I have been out in the garden twice for a couple of cuppas. 2 washloads have been done and put on the line and the DW is just about to go on again as its been emptied already this morning.
OH and DD have made a couple of Betty Crocker mixes up that were lurking in the cupboard from the 99p store. One brownie and the other apple muffins.
Did my INR test today and it came back at 5.4 which is very high (should be 2-3), so will have to call the hospital in the morning.
OH has just done a lovely chilli con carne, so better go and eat it.
Hugs to all.

PP - hope you feel better soon
Catowen - I need to come to Cornwall - I love pasties but everyone here puts cubed carrot in them and I cant abide cubed carrot - mind you I spose I could learn how to make proper cornish pasties - that would take less time:rotfl:0 -
Had a lovely day at friends, had roast chicken, new pots & salad cooked for me
Just chilled there for the day, lovely & peaceful...
(((((((mrx mix and also candygirl)))))), please don't worry about putting a "downer" on the thread - as everyone says, that's what we're here for. Day or night there's usually someone around.
Happy birthday Mme Clochard as well.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)
