Well, went at got some stuff at the gdn centre, will have to leave for now as it's started to rain. At least the stuff is there ready. I will try hard to keep it in good condition and not leave the stuff in the little pots to dry out.

DS has just started to play his drums. DD is in bed still, it's now about 12 hours since she went to bed. To save you checking the time it's now 1.50pm. I suspect there will be a moody one in a min... here she comes....

We'll save the Tadcaster walk for another day :o Found a church open selling tea and HM cake, so it was rude not to have some as it was in aid of church funds :D Was going to pop in on the garden centre, but it was mobbed   Still scorchio here, so oiut inot the garden again, soon.

See you all later, Penny. x

Happy Birthday to Buffy Vampire Bat and Mme Clochard !!

    (((((Big hugs for Mrs Mix)))))

It's a beautiful warm and sunny day here so I've been gardening. I was very brave and got the gardening "stuff" out of the shed myself as OH is at work (I'm another one who's scared of spiders). I've left it for him to put away though!

Had to come inside now though to tidy up and pack... OH and me are visiting my Aunty tonight, we may have a little outing to the seaside tomorrow, than back tomorrow eve for college. Then we're off to visit my parents wednesday to friday. So I'll "see" you all when I get back.

Take care and hugs to you all.

    Afternoon

We had a good night out last night and bless them, they were collecting for charity and are going to donate a cut of what they collected to my race for life fund:T

Was meant to be going out today but my friend let me down at the last minute. So just chilling at home. Lovely and sunny - Mum's fizzing about in the garden.

Two bread puddings made today. Not sure what dinner's going to be. Probably left overs from yesterday's roast.

Just listening to my friends over in Spain who work at a radio station and enjoying a cup of earl grey. Done some daily clicks. Got a few more to do.

    Hope everyone's ok

    afternoon all

    mrs mix (((hugs)))

Its a lovely sunny day here and its quite mild still, feel really inspired to plant some pots up for my decking!

done all weeks ironing and everywhere is tidy for a change!
    breakfast ---hm pancakes with blueberries
    lunch--hm butternut s soup
    tea--garlic chicken and wedges

just made some scones and going to pop them in the oven, when I heat up chicken at tea time.

before tea, me and dog are going for a walk, then will have a quick bath before the soaps tonight, it doesn't feel like a monday somehow??

    warning---rant coming

Have finally lost my temper with my friend. she has been lodging with this girl for about 6 years or so. They have started not answering the phone, they just leave the machine on. ggrrrr. then don't bother ringing back!

I am not one of those people who are constantly ringing, over the past year, I have not hardly rang her. she rings me, as soon as the other girl goes to work and then she rings daily, but only if other girl is at work.

It seems as though she just picks me and then puts me down, when her other friend is not around. I decided to rise above it and just chat to her when she rang, but our chimney is blocked and I needed the number of sweeper, I rang her knowing she is in and again they would'nt answer the phone! In the end i texted her and she said she will text me it later, presumably when her friend has gone to work.  I just feel like she is using me when she has nothing else to do?? what do others think? she is really starting to p** me off now! sorry rant over!

Dorry - i feel you're probably right about this "friend". I have a couple like that. One contacted me asking me to pay her mortgage:eek: Another drops me like a new born giraffe as soon as there's a guy on the scene. Then gets drunk cos he doesn't turn up and then expects me to pick up the pieces. I'm thinking I don't need people like this so am slowly drifting away from them. You don't need clutter like that in your life. Do what's right for you. They'll either realise what a great friend you really are and start treating you properly, or that'll be it and then you'll know you've done the right thing

    Hiya :hello:

    Hugs to Smokybabe

mrs mix So sorry about your dad, you post away as this thread is here to offer comfort whatever is going on in our lives.

I actually had a lie in today :j , although I was awake from 7.30am onwards, but it was nice not to have to jump out of bed and rush around. DH is just finishing the wooden floor in the front room and he's done a great job. He's worked so hard over the weekend that I treated him to breakfast in bed this morning.

I collected DD1 from her friend's sleepover and she's had 3 hours sleep as they were watching dvds for most of the night. After lunch I took both of the girls for a walk and a play at our local swing park to blow the cobwebs away and to avoid having to do the ironing. :rotfl:

Tonight's tea is an american breakfast of pancakes, hash browns, sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs with lashings of maple syrup. DH's cousin brought over some gorgeous american maple syrup when he visited last month and it's so much nicer than the other stuff I usually buy so I'm going to make a huge stack of pancakes to go with it.:D

The weight loss/not a diet is back on track as I've stopped eating rubbish between meals. I had another go at the Paul McKenna CD the other night and since then i seem to have curbed my appetite for eating between meals. I bought his book last year and it did initially work but then I lost interest as I think you need to listen to the CD regularly. It's really weird as each time I remember the first 5 minutes of it and then the rest of it, about 20 minutes of it I cannot remember a thing about it and then 'I wake up'. I guess I must be sort of being hypnotised, SPOOKY.

Well the ironing will not do itself unfortunately, perhaps I could be hypnotised to actually enjoy ironing.:rotfl:
    Have a good day

Update on 'doing a tru' to shock the gang into action...

Well I planned what I was going to say but haven't managed to get everyone together so I did a rant on the mobile to DD1 (who was with boyfriend - second target) while DS was listening. I've said I've had enough, I'm not their servant, we all make the mess (washing, washing up, dust) so we should share. I said I'm only doing washing if put in laundry basket or in utility room and it has to be right way out and NO PENS IN POCKETS (DS left one that I missed and we now have spotty washing and ink marks in my new tumbler...) Also said they need to put stuff in dishwasher or (this is a bit extreme) I'm going to put the plates, saucepans etc in their rooms. And everyone has to do a job - which I've specified.

They all just said yes! but we'll see....

DD2 has gone back to her dad's in London, having lost her train ticket between home and station - 5 mins drive - (and we came back here to search) and there's engineering work on the track so she had to catch a bus. Neither of us was in a good mood after that (and I'm £9.80 poorer).

Anyway... back to the ironing... I've cross mowing the lawn off my list as I've given it to DD1s boyfriend, though he's not back yet so I'm taking a risk. My lawn has a lovely crop of dandelions so it is rather urgent!

Hope everyone else is having a really really relaxing day!!
