    Morning.

I was delighted to learn that leicester were relegated yesterday. Sort of justic after their manager jumped ship from Plymouth. :rotfl:

    Cheers

We were listening to five live yesterday and there were lots of cheers around here when we heard that result as well!!! Goes to show what happens when you chase the money, rather than the glory and loyalty!!!

    Hello folks
Very sunny here, with birds chirping away in the garden and dogs asleep in a sunny spot on livingroom floor.
Going to strip my bed in a minute and get that done and out.
Might go to Focus to pick up a paint roller and tray as I was all set to paint yesterday then realised OH had used the new one and then thrown it out. I ended up reading my book yesterday instead of going to get a new one then.
Other than that, it's dog walk then tackle some more of the ironing pile. Might put on a film in the afternoon and see if that makes the ironing easier!
    Enjoy the Bank Hol everyone

ps - threw out my Morrisons receipt yesterday, which stated I had bought a Kingsmill loaf - checked the freezer today and it is a Morrisons one gggrrrrr. Seems an odd mistake for a scanner to make. About 30p or 40p difference

  • Hello everyone - first time I've posted on this thread, but I've read it before !

My sister and my niece are coming down to London today to visit us so we are going to London Zoo and on the maida Vale canal barge to get there. Really hope it doesn't rain!!
Made HM pizza last night and Banoffee pie and DH was very impressed (as these are his favourite things!). Heard last night that the upstairs 'house' (I live in a small converted flat at the bottom of a victorian house) have been served their notice by the landlord, I'm assuming that as we haven't heard we are ok to carry on staying. I think the landlord's daughter wants to move into the house, and this flat was just a buy to let property.

    Good morning everyone.
It;s nice and bright and sunny out there. Shame we have nothing planned outside or have a garden-boo hiss.
Have some marking to do today, alongside some painting and the usual housework. Not sure what to cook for dinner tonight, perhaps some enchiladas, as it is Cinco De Mayo!

Hugs to those who need/want, especially to Pam xx

    Good morning all,

Pam, I'm so sorry about your Dad. (((hugs))) to you and your Dad. He will have the best possible care from the Macmillan nurses. They truly are :A
tru liked your description of a "tru". I don't have to throw so many trus these days as DS and DD know when they are on to a good thing. ;)
kyle is it worse cos the spider is on the ceiling? I don't mind spiders running around the floor but when I have one on the ceiling I'm constantly watching it as I don't want it falling on my head.
dlb you will miss your DSs but sometimes it's good for them to be reminded how much you mean to them. I bet they will miss you just as much, if not more.
isthatreduced are the girls silly enough to call from an identifiable number? If so, I would be contacting the school and/or parents to get it sorted. It's quite a sinister form of bullying imho.
catowen I'm so glad (sorry :o ) that you posted about not losing weight despite your efforts. I am exactly the same. I have an appointment tomorrow and I know the nurse will tell me off. My clothes feel looser, I feel lighter but the scales just don't move. At least I know I'm not the only one.

Sun was shining when I got up but its now clouding over so typical bank holiday weather then.

Managed to bag a few bargains at sainsbugs yesterday so freezer is now full. As I spent over £50, I was given a voucher that will give me 5p a litre off petrol! :j It has to be used in the next 14 days so at least there isn't any rush. Just as well as I filled up at Morrisons petrol station (cheaper than anywhere else) just before I went to Sainsbugs.

No definite plans for today but hope to get some clearing out done.

Have a marvellous (bank holiday) Monday. xx

Sorry to hear that Pam. You never know, the results may come back alright. I am a born optimist. Hugs to you and your family. xxx

Edited to add - Bookie it's called gluttony.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning all.

Can't believe the thread is so far on on a bank holiday! Do people not have lie ins any more??

Had quite a busy morning in the small hours (what do you do when you can't sleep thread) so planning to take the rest of the day quite slowly.

Have a good day all, and hugs to whomever wants them.
