I have sent the letter to the local branch for the girl to deal with and as the 8 wks were up I sent it all back to the FOS.
DO you think it will help sending it to the head office? What address is that - Nottingham?
Am so fed up with them just phoning or sending me letters saying they are charging me cos I have defaulted its relaly getting to me and I am paying this every month only missed 3 cos my old bank didnt set up the dd's with my new one and then they didnt take a payment in November so it ended up with 4 missed. I am worrying as it is a secured loan and not unsecured. If it was I could have passed that to my DMP too
I will give the head office a try will try anything:j:jLiving Life to the Full

If you claim to Compliance, it shows that the branch aren't able to do what they should be doing, so it doesn't look good.

Dear Sir/Madam
Account numbers: xxxxxxxxxxx
I am writing to you as I would like to request all charges placed on my account be repaid to me, including interest at the rate of 8%, the amount a court would award. I have enclosed a copy of the calculations for you to confirm the amounts.
If you refuse, I request, in writing, your method for calculating these charges as actual costs which the company incurs. For example, how it costs £10 to make a telephone call or send a letter.
You will be aware that I am currently in communication with the Financial Ombudsman Service regarding the agreement and as such, the account should be frozen.
Yours faithfully0 -
Thanks soloo,
Has anyone been successful in claiming these charges off them??
I have done a subject access request to them and they have only sent back a few statements but not all, so i have sent another letter stating they have not complied with my request and the clock is ticking!!!!
Are Welcome notorious for meddling with someones agreement because mine seems to be totally incorrect???
thanks0 -
When was your agreement signed and what info looks incorrect?0

:mad::mad:just posting with a quick update. Got a letter yesterday from WF denying that I had been mis-sold and saying they are correct and no PPI or interest or charges will be refunded. They claim to have telephone calls asking me if I wanted PPI and I said yes and also twice they told me it was optional so what do I do next. I have already sent a letter to the compliance dept and they seem to have sent it the same day I posted it.:mad:
also have referred it back to the FOS as they went past the 8 wks. so any suggestions as to what to do next as I dont think I will get anything back now

The FO are a joke in my opinion i have been waiting since Feb 08 to resolve Welcome finance. I have ended up going to a solicitor now as the FO say its still going to be few more months!!!!! Welcome are rubbish they can only provide 3 of 5 of my credit agreements after sending them a SAR. Cant wait for my day in court!MY Successes = RBS PPI, RBS bank charges, Aqua PPI, Aqua cc charges, HFC PPI, Welcome Finance PPI, Blackhorse PPI Mums Ongoing= Swift Advances PPI, London Scottish PPI, Blackhorse chgs, GE money pyts missing

I read on another thread on here that WF might offer you a 10-25% discount if you offer to make an early settlement.
Has anyone encoutered this?
Also, my outstanding balance is for £2103.79, which includes the PPI that they haven't made any kind of decision about yet, so if I were to offer them £2103.70 minus £578 for PPI, would they accept this as a final settlement?0 -
Thanks for all your advice, I am going to take this all the way with FOS and have also written a complaint letter re their charges so they would have got this today I think. Anyway their letter has been forwarded onto the FOS for all the good it will do me but I can only try?
Not getting anwhere with anything I am trying to reclaim at the mo they are all saying the same......you were given the option......so with that in mind doesnt look like I have a leg to stand on basically?
I wont give up without a fight tho but I can only blag it I reckon.
Will keep you posted tho it might be another 8 wks before I hear from them zzzzz by then I will be giving it big zs hehe:rotfl:
