oh and obviously happy you got the mattress
Lets not forget this was NOT an ebay purchase and if people are going to use paypal outside of ebay then we must remember that the ebay protection does NOT apply. There can be NO ebay protection for using paypal if ebay are not involved
However, all that is now immaterial, TaffyScot has her goods and we should all be very pleased for her. Taffyscot..stop worrying now and finally get to enjoy your trip without constantly checking to see what has happened her or at home with the parcel delivery. You have had the misfortune to come across the most inept stupid seller ever, forget them now as they are not worth any more of your thought or time. When you get home sort out the paypal charge aspect, but don't spend any time or effort doing anything complicated while you are away, maybe just send one brief email to paypal to let them know and follow it all up when you get home.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. i think pepsi_max2k means that australia are now paypal only - as we will be on 3rd june.
As I understand it we aren't going Paypal only, it's just that all sellers will have to accept Paypal as one of the payment methods. If it had to be Paypal only then I would pull my business out of ebay.
I am actually considering pulling out of ebay anyway due to their feedback changes. Ever since I started trading with ebay I have tried extremely had to give excellent customer service and maintained a 100% positive feedback dispite some very difficult customers trying to use the feedback system to get more out of us. Now thanks to one completely insane customer who left a neutral feedback last september, the feeback changes have now changed my feedback to 99.7%. The customer actually asked me if I wanted her to remove the feedback at the time, but I said no because at the time a removed feedback looked worse than a neutral. Believe me the difference between being 100% and not being 100% makes a huge difference on ebay.
Soolin I presume you work for ebay? Well people need to remember that ebay own Paypal, and neither of them protects you against scams. I have reported several scam artists to ebay in the past, and they have done nothing about it. Even my business manager has agreed with me, but said he can't do anything to stop the scam artists ripping customers off.

Hi all,
Just wanted to let you all know that I still have not seen my bedding and mattress even tho my husband says it is like sleeping on a dream cloud, lucky beggar. Family emergency on the last day of my holidays and son with 2 crushed feet. I feel dreadful at the moment but am going home to my wool bedding and to sleep for a week after my son finally got his operation 12 days after the dreadful injury. I am so worn out with worry and grief for him. taffy0
