been reading for a while and... surprise surprise, what do we learn? the biggest scammers on ebay are paypal. seller just sounds like an idiot. i've had people take a month to send stuff. but paypal, not only if you really had been scammed did they not help you one bit with all their supposed fraud protection; had the seller actually kept the money in the account, he'd have had this removed for no reason, and anyone under any circumstance can do this and many people succeed in fraudulent refunds. i feel for austrailia
oh and obviously happy you got the mattress

That's a thought. Can you withdraw closed paypal dispute? Otherwise Next time the dopey but innocent seller decides to sell something else on ebay, Paypal may freeze his account and 'refund' Taffy!I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hi I feel exactly the same way. I cannot believe that paypal with all of it's boasting about always paying and being protected would just say we tried to get his money and we couldn't get it so case closed
That's terrible about the fraudulent refund I never even thought about that. I will of course write to paypal and let them know the situation. I am not doing it tonight tho as my boys are coming in and we are all going out.
What do you mean you feel for Australia? I don't get that bit. Thanks all of you for being there for me. I still cannot believe it that it is there and my OH isn't just saying it to shut me up and stop me from worrying. Even he wouldn't dare do that and doesn't have the imagination to describe brown and green leaves on the merino blanket lol.
