Evening
What a long day! Lay in tomorrow:j Working in the afternoon and it looks like I have a girls' night out to cheer up my best friend. She's a bit low about men:rolleyes: I know I'm not one to comment but wish she'd learn from my mistakes.
Joined an online agency to try and get some more work. Already had an audition come through:T
Got some lovely mushrooms from the local farm shop and a goose egg for tomorrow's breakfast.
Dinner tonight is chicken and mushrooms cooked in mushroom soup for a sauce with rice. I love this meal, so tasty. Chicken was bought reduced in Mr T and has been living in the freezer.
Got some coins to sort through to go in various jars.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

anniestar hope you get better soon and what a lovely hubby you have!
I'm so glad it's Friday as I'm shattered! A busy day at school but my class have made so much progess, especially with their behaviour and social skills, it makes me feel so proud of them.
DH's OFSTED went very well and is in the pub with his work mates as I type.
EDIT:
As I typed that last sentence he walked in the door with his chippy tea and a great big smile on his face! :rotfl: Hope he's remembered that he's spending the weekend putting down a wooden floor in the front room!
The 'not a diet' isn't going anywhere as I've just scoffed 2 cream eggs that I found in the cupboard.
I'm going to look for my Paul McKenna's 'I can make you thin' CD.
Have a good evening.:D0 -
Taplady,
I am so sorry to hear about your little dog, I was reading a post in the arms earlier where someone had to have their cat put down, someone quoted the below:
'I read somewhere that euthanasia is your way of taking the suffering for them, I really think it's true.'
And it is absolutly true, although it is very sad. He is no longer in pain, you have taken his pain away. It is devastating when they go, but I am sure he had a happy life, big hugs to you all xxx And one for little dog x
Sue
thanks so much for that, am not feeling great at the moment, cant seem to stop thinking about him. He did have a happy life and was quite a rascal so I hope he's up there somewhere chasing the birds again.
Thanks to everyone for your kind words xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Hello everyone:hello:
(((Smokey))) (((PenPin))) - thinking of you x
(((JackieO))) - I've not been here long, but based on your posts this week I can see why others see you as an inspiration x
Not checked today's thread yet, hope you're all well, hugs for those who aren't.
Well, after a busy week I've now got a whole week off work!!! :j:T Why is it though that you end up more stressed at work on the run up to a holiday, just trying to get everything sorted?! Anyway, I'm sat here with a glass of wine so winding down now.
Our good news this week is that OH has been told he'll have an offer to study Occupational Therapy if he wants it (they want to make sure that it's what he definitely wants so he has to spend some time with an actual OT person before they make the offer formal). He'd applied for a few courses and had 2 other formal offers, but this is the one he wants to do so I'm really happy for him. We'll have a few tight years ahead financially but hey, it's right for him.
(Brief history in little grey text so you can skip it if you want.
OH's wife left him for someone else, he'd already been getting disillusioned at work, felt he could no longer do his job, couldn't cope with the responsibility etc, these two things coupled with certain personality traits led to a breakdown and depression, plus alcohol and sleeping pill addiction, and finally he had to leave his (very well paid) job over a year ago. He was on DLA plus a part-time job as a carer, then after Christmas got a second pt carer job and came off DLA. It's been a tough time but he's getting better, even though he still has his bad patches it's nothing compared to where he's come from. Love him to bits - that'll be the wine talking how lightweight am I?!)
Anyway, I feel like a browse at the rest of the site, plus need to read all of your posts from today.
Take care everyone

Taplady - so sorrry to hear about your little dog; they become real members of the family, don't they?
Mr Anniestar - thanks for the update and (((hugs))) to Ann from all of us.
Well, I've just had a bath and will settle down and watch Dirty Sexy Money while I do a bit of knitting. It's been a beautiful day here today - hope for more of the same tomorrow but the forecaster said differently!
Have a great evening everyone.

(((((Taplady)))))) So sorry to hear about your little dog, it is heartbreaking when we lose our pets. We lost our little cat Holly a fortnight ago and miss her loads.
I find it helps a bit to remember this poem:
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Taplady - so sorry to hear about your dog, very sad, the quote that Redruby posted was lovely and so true.
Redruby - it's hard to believe how some people can be towards their own children. It must be awful for you to see it so close. I hope things work out for your nephew.
Dogrose & Slowlyfading - congratulations on your upcoming graduations.
Crazychic - can't believe you're having to pay for their mistake. If a shop charged you less than they should it'd be their loss, how can them not updating their tariff be your fault? Also meant to say that I hope it works out for you when you meet up with your dad.
RacyRed - what is the world coming to when a woman defending herself against a mugging could potentially be charged with assault?!
Get well soon Anniestar and the rest of the poorly people.

Mr Anniestar - pass our best wishes to the missus - we all miss her
Gena - good luck to you and your OH - sounds like your on the up
i'm all for granny knickers - when dd was in the last stages of pregnancy she asked me where I got mine from - "you know mum those horrid big baggy ones you wear - those would do" which reminds me also of the shame of taking her for one of her antenatal scans. as she rolled down her trousies she revealed a tiny pink thong thing with the words "horny little devil" emblazoned across the front
well exoh has been and gone and picked up dd so i am [STRIKE]doing lots of housework[/STRIKE] [STRIKE] packing for my camping trip[/STRIKE] f*rt**ssing about on here. I really hate packing but am off to oxford for the weekend so better get a wiggle on i suppose
have a good rest of the eveningI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
