    hi all

had a terrible afternoon, had to have my little jack russel put to sleep as he had chronic cushings disease and a possible liver tumour. He was only 6 and had been poorly for few weeks but you still dont expect it do you.
(((hugs))) to anyone else in need too.

So sad when you have to do that. My heart goes out to you

I was in floods of tears when we had to do the same to our cat. We had her 15 years and she had stomach cancer in the end. Very distressing as your pets are a much loved member of your family.

My dad had won a cuddly cat teddy in a raffle the week before and had put our cats collar on the teddy to remind him of Lucy (our cat). My son was only 4 at the time and used to play with the teddy and make the little bell on the collar tinkle! The first time he did that we all looked round in surprise for Lucy and ended up crying and laughing at the same time!!

    Take care

    Taplady,

I am so sorry to hear about your little dog, I was reading a post in the arms earlier where someone had to have their cat put down, someone quoted the below:

'I read somewhere that euthanasia is your way of taking the suffering for them, I really think it's true.'

And it is absolutly true, although it is very sad. He is no longer in pain, you have taken his pain away. It is devastating when they go, but I am sure he had a happy life, big hugs to you all xxx And one for little dog x

Edited to say re the knickers - well I am not mentioning what else is is my drawer - remember I am going on holiday with SIL, DD and DGSs!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thoughts tend to drift to Martyn and his underwear buying!!!!!!!!!!! The thongs (actually never worn them) must stay here. Granny knickers more the norm.

GB will you behave, :naughty: lets hope there is a loft in your appartment in spain, for you and MR GB to have 'quality time' :D

Mr anniestar, thanks for keeping us posted, hugs to the mrs, hope she gets better soon xx

Good afternoon to you all. I must confess that I am an imposter and am not "anniestar" I have the great joy (or so I am told) to be married to Ann so that makes me mr anniestar I guess. Well my dearly beloved is currently tucked up in bed rather poorly. She has been fretting and asking for the laptop but then getting fustrated that she can't use it. She went away for the weekend, had a great time, then came down with a rather nasty bug. Was quite worried as she has been recovering from a nasty bout of shingles(I assume she has told you that) Took her to the docs and she is back on tablets as the lurgy has setteled on her chest(it drives her mad that despite never smoking she always gets a bad chest) I promised Ann I would report and send her best wishes to you. I have to confess I have been given a cast of millions to say hi to, send hugs to and generally pass stuff on to but I can't find the list Sorry. Please consider yourself hugged etc. I am very well trained and hope this is ok. Ann ha sa number of Private messages showing but as they are just that I will tell her about them but NOT open htem. If you are waiting for her to reply to you and she hasn't done so this is why. I hope this is ok and that you are all well and don't mind an interloper. Kind regards, M.

Best wishes for speedy recovery to Annie Star

hugs to anniestar and hope you feel better soon.

I used to aways end up on antibiotics when I got a bad cold but since trying a mix of aromatherapy oils (touch wood) this has not been happening!

Family have just tucked in to spag bol(veggie) and home made rolls.

Did some Sats revision with DD(14) and then raced to pick up my prescription as I had forgotten to get it earlier!

Also got DD some strawberries (on BOGOF) at Sainsbury to spur on the revision - healthier than chocolate - and better for her.

DH has done the dishes while I was out:j

    Hugs to all.
