Morning
NSD today again, crumbs my final monthly total is going to be pennies at this rate:rotfl: off to work later, grand opening of the shop being refurbished:D
All the oat biscuits I baked yesterday afternoon have gone:rolleyes: most of the almond cake and the choc and orange muffins are lurking around because they are not their fav:rolleyes: I don't know whether to make some more of let them eat the cake that is left:rolleyes:
The in laws are coming tomorrow and I was hoping to show off my baking expertise to impress so will have to bake again I guess:D My MIL makes a fab corn beef pie with potatoes so will ask her for the recipe, strange the kids don't like corn beef or even partial to the pots but they wolf her pie down as if there is no tomorrow:rolleyes:0 -
Morning all!
Went to MrT last night for my weekly shop - total £16.05 (inc £6.64 cat food). Found some 'hot smoked salmon slices' whoopsied from £3.69 to 74p so snaffled them - now in the freezer so they'll do for salads or something. Also picked up a punnet of the crimson grapes currently on offer, I meant to bring some with me to snack on today but they're still languishing in the fruit bowl at home
Hugs to everyone who needs them, and may I have one too please - dad in hospital
Have a lovely weekend - hope the weather holds!Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain ...0 -

i just wanted to say im still feeding, though only once a day,my 2 youngest.my son was 3 in feb and my little girl is 2 tomorrow.there is still alot of stigma attached to breast feeding but i think the best thing is to do what feels right for you and not anyone else.Adopt don't buy

Discovered I needed cheese last night so managed to spend £2.20 on cheese and a whoopsied Flake dessert thing (very nice but 250 cals!)
Will go off in search of bargains at Asda at lunchtime - made some yummy potato salad last night with left over charlotte potatoes so fancy some salad and quiche to go with it - nice in the warmer weather.
Good luck to everyone over the weekend,

good morning, thanks for all the replies about breastfeeding. I think if my little lad really hated not being fed then i would carry on but he has barely noticed. For me and perhaps more honestly my OH 1 yr is enough. But it doesnt stop it being hard, and a big thumbs up to all you that have breast fed. It's the most amazing thing in the world after giving birth and i'm so proud of myself for having breast fed each of my children to 1 yr, oh see now i'm all gutted i've stopped again...grr.
MrsIrwin- Really hope everything goes well for you. I know i'm in the minority but i loved labour and giving birth and it wasnt even like i had a really homely one. I had an induction with each of my children and had to be monitored on machines through out but it was still an amazing experience. A quick tip the Gas and Air absolutely fantastic! worked a treat for me. Also if you would like any support with breastfeeding just PM me.
Got to go and spend money today as inlaws are over tomoz and they usually expect a feast. Let you all know how i get on with the meal plan.0 -

Went to Morrisons this morning on the way back from school for baby wipes and a few other bits and pieces - got 4 packs of Pampers ones on BOGOF and had a couple of Pampers vouchers too (£2 in total) so got 4 packs of wipes for just over £3 :j
One the downside I had 6 yo, 4yo and DH refuse to eat a roast dinner last night (cooked the chicken at the same time as dinner the day before and then put in straight in a plastic food bag and into the fridge so it stayed lovely and moist - just had to give it a blast in the nuke last night- saving on fuel and time:D ). 4yo won't eat chicken, 6yo won't eat broccoli, DH won't eat plain potatoes instead of roasties. Held out for once and said like it or lump it and no pud for those who don't finish their dinner...
