  • Hi everyone

It's been a hectic two weeks, haven't even had time to post lol. Unfortunately I had an overspend of £ 39.85 last month! but I found a new butcher close to me and stocked up on some lovely lamb & chicken. I also stocked up on flour and baking things. This month so far I've stocked up other things to as my cupboards were getting bare, but now they're stocked up for quite some time lol, and as I've started this calorie controlled diet, and lost 7 pounds in the last three weeks I'm sure it'll last a lot longer now as I'm not eating nearly as much as I was.

Mrs MCAWBER I'm allocating £40 this month as that's my usual amount for a 4 week month, I have spent £ 22.28 so far.

My month started on the 25th April and ends on the 24th May.

    Cheers

I cannot believe it! OH has just got back from taking DS 4 to watch football, having gone via Morrisons and spent £37!!!!

Granted, 10 quid was booze & £8 on Nicquitin Lozenges, but the rest is junk, having been guided by a 4 year old!!!

It really should be included in the budget, which makes me mad, as I was trying to be so careful due to having to pay out for my car.

Ah well, I can only do my best, and OH did put £20 worth of petrol in my car, shouldn't really complain.

I'd like to join again this month and have allocated £160 for 4 adults. We have a house warming for DD tonight and I have provided most of the food so I have remembered this time and taken it out of my b'day etc. budget. I had forgotten about it and so it was a nice surprise to find I was not having to add take the cost of all the food from the money I have left.

For the party we have made a massive pan of veggie chilli and one of meat chilli and loads of bread and maybe a bit of cheese if I am feeling generous.
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

    Hi Everyone

MrsM can you put me down for £300 again this month please?

I overspent last month due to lazyness (and takeaways they really are my downfall.. hangs head in shame) but I have pulled my socks up and tightened my belt ;)

I have spent £19.85 @ Aldi's, £158.86 @ Mr T's and £72 @ our butchers so spend so far = £250.71 :o That sounds really bad I know but that's over a months worth of meat and cheese, stock and storecupboard items and lots of extra fruit and veg. Now I should only have to go to the shops for milk and a top up of fruit ;)

I am feeling very pleased with myself at the mo because I have already blanched and frozen most of the veg, seperated the raw meat into portions and frozen it and thanks to another challenge member (sorry can't remember who) I have been keeping my eyes on the cooked chicken counter and today got 3 medium chickens @ £2 each = £6 and have stripped them down and frozen them and have a big pot on the stove boiling up the bones and bits for stock :D Am I the only person who gets a really big thrill from seeing how far they can strip the chicken down :confused:I now have loads of ideas for meals and will be meal planning later today.

Another success has been the HM bread. My kids love it and won't eat the shops bread now unless forced to as "it's nasty" :rotfl: I will try and post more often this month as I think that will keep me more focused too.

Sorry for the ramble and good luck everyone.

    Hi bails,
the way they do this is very confusing, when you get your delivery note it still looks as if you`ve been charged for your delivery but when you check what`s actually been debited from your bank card it`s taken it off if IYKWIM
    HTH
    SD

Did you get to the page called checkout? It asks you there for name address card details etc. ave you had a confirmation email to confirm your order??? If no to both of these, your order has not gone through!
What you may have done is just picked your shoppin and its hopfully still in the trolley. If that is the case the delivery date/time would be lost.
Whenever you need to change your online order you need to go through checkout again-including the payment. You get a new, updated email from them. They dont take the money until it is actually delivered. If no email-your order is not coming!Do check this or you could end up without your shopping.
Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults

Gosh how fast this thread grows. Two small spends for me in the last couple of days. In the town where I work there is a Heron shop. Heron sells frozen food and some basic groceries. I tend to pop in at lunchtimes but am limited to buying only what I can carry as it is quite a walk back to work. One lunch time I managed to get some bargain Birds Eye beefburgers and some vege burgers in the hope it might be warm enough for a bbq soon. The next day I stocked up on frozen veg. Left the veg in the freezer at work though, good thing we have plenty of fresh for the weekend.

My eldest son is visiting for the weekend so my stocks will be diminishing rapidly. He has already eaten some of the beefburgers

    Congratulations to Searching_Me :j :T

 I popped to Asda yesterday and spent £16.80 from GC and £8 on pillows, £9 on beer for hubby - this will be needed to keep him happy whilst fitting my new kitchen :j (not from CG)

I did pick up 2 pack on mince for freezer, 18 f/range eggs ~will last all month, and a woopsie cooked chicken - had one breast for tea last night and the rest is in the freezer.

    searching_me congratulations :D

Just been working on my meal plan inc for lunches etc, working out what I must buy before Thursday which isn't a lot hopefully, I do need to find some sort of recipe to use up the prawns in a main meal aswell as having them in sandwiches/on baked spuds, I have some cod aswell....just got to try and find something to use them for. I've got lots of flour etc so going to bake some treats tomorrow instead of buying them (no energy today) hobnobs and other biscuits, some things for packed lunches etc.

I'm still petrified about having only £180 this month to spend, we've spent over 4 times that in the past, but sure I can do it. I now actually have the parts for my FF so I need to get that one emptied and defrosted, the restricted budget will no doubt be helped by this but a lot of what is in there is bread etc.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
