Hiya Funky, I only saw strawberry sorry, that's my favourite though :D I think they have choccy ones in morrisons for about 8p if that helps at all. Not as cheap as strawberry in tesco/asda, but still a lot less than 40p for angel delight branded ones :)

Asda only do strawberry too I use it to top trifle instead of cream-I make it with a little less milk.

I must try morrisons if Im near and look for the choccy ones-no problems with 8p!
Didn't do any shopping at all today so yes ive run out of milk but I can manage until tomorrow. Some weeks, rather than saying I have £75 to spend I may just allow myself ten or elevn pounds per day intead. If I do this I wil need to just put the daily allowance in my purse. Ive done this before and if you are going through a phase of multiple shopping trips this restricts the spending and keeps you in budget.

A few posters have asked in the past about how many oats/lentils to add when bulking out mince. As an example I bulked out my chilli with lentils and oats, 2kg mince, 200g lentils, 200g oats. Everyone said it was good - not that they knew anything about the lentils or oats :shhh: . Made 12 meals for 4 in total for £5 mince (Tesco buy 2 x 1kg for £5)

i tried adding oats for the first time and instead of just having enough for 1 meal for the 6 of us plus a little extra i ended up with 2 meals and extra for lunch the next day for my boys.my eldest who hasn't been keen on mince recently said it was the best ive ever made.

Ran out of milk so drove 4 miles to the nearest shop where I parted with £2.87 for 4 pints of milk and 2 bogof milkshakes for my littlest as a treat. She spent yesterday sweeping the garden paths and cleaning out the hen houses whilst her elder sibling sat in the sun reading a book and ordering her around. I did promise her a trip to the park as a reward but its heaving down and we've had thunderstorms on and off all night. Shes over the moon.

I was vaguely considering a trip to Tesco for a few other bits and pieces but there isn't any space in the freezer, I have 4 kg of cheese in the fridge (more bogofs) the cupboards are heaving, the wine rack is 3 layers deeper than it was designed to be and I can't get into the cupboard under the stairs for washing liquid (1/3rd off) or fabric conditioner (2/3rds off). Other than needing fruit (fruit bowl is empty) and veg (down to frozen) there really doesn't seem much point in going. That and I'm in a lazy slob about doing nowt in my PJs frame of mind.

    Morning All

I haven't caught up for a couple of days and don't know whether I'll manage to read all the thread so hope everyone's doing okay.

So far this month I've spent £20.59 - £17.60 was for dinner in BHS yesterday! DH promised the kids they could go McDs for dinner but it was absolutely packed so we ended up in BHS.

Just posted my total for April on the April thread - ended up going over by £56.40!

Hope everyone has a good day
