Does anyone know what the best way for me to freeze my beery bacon pie would be? I've cooked the filling and now im wondering if it would be ok to cook the pastry aswell and freeze it all cooked?

my pastry was frozen and got taken out last night so is it ok to refreeze when made into a pie?

or should I make it out, put the filling in and freeze it uncooked? arghh so confused!!

My aim for the month (in or not ) is £110.00 for the 4 of us up untill 31st may, im hopeing not to go over as i have a nice stocked freezer (small but full) at least 10 days worth of meals in, ive enough non food items for at least 2 months (nappies, wipes, toilet rolls, loo rolls etc etc), 7 bags of bread flour, 3 boxs of yeast so for this month my shopping should be pure food only, only downside is lack of choice where i live (asda) though there is an aldi nearby as well (never used aldi over in uk is it like lidls) dont get a chance to use the wednesday market in town as its the day my little man go's to the hospital but hopefully from next month that will be an option.

im hopeing to not set foot in asda till tuesday

Hey fizzel, i am sure you will be added. Mrs M or Pinkwinged, will sort you out quickly.

  • Found you all at last! Wow this thread is huge already.
I just popped in to update my spends so far, I started on the 25th and I'm already at £138.58:eek: . In my defence though I have bought a fair bit of organic beef, it's stashed in my freezer as a wee treat.
DH is going to be passing an Asda tommorrow quite late on so he's under instructions to hunt for whoopsies, hopefully that'll help me to stay on target!
Better get to work, will update my sig first, good luck to all.:D

Asda have an angel delight type dessert thing for 3p per sachet by the way. 3p!! Just add milk :D Oh and a kilo of utterly betterly only £1, thought that was pretty good!

    Hi MrDT

Tesco do a strawberry 'angel delight' for 3p per sachet, but no other flavours. Do Asda do different flavours? I may be passing an Asda next week and it might be worth a look in.

    TIA FFM :)

Well, I emailed Asda to thank them for getting my delivery to me during the time slot I'd selected and guess what? Yes another free delivery! Seems as if you send an email regarding anything and they automatically give you free delivery e-voucher! The email that was sent said how sorry they were I wasn't happy, but I was!

Not complaining, just thought I'd send them a 'nice' email!

    best wishes

I have just had a personal apologetic phone call from sainsburys for the way I got treated the other day (accused of nicking someone else's shopping and made to empty my own 4 wheel trolley to prove I had not taken it:eek: ) and a £20 voucher to go and spend instore on anything I want 'to cheer myself up' the lady so I am cheered and cleared:D and £20 up bonus:D
