Hi everyone, just a quickie as we've just spent the last 2 1/2 hours on my supermarket - OH is not happy  Anyhoo, I've done an Asda order and used a free delivery code - how do I know the delivery code worked? Also, it hasn't asked me to pay anywhere  No doubt there is an obvious explanation for this - spot the online ordering virgin - but if someone could put me out of my misery I'd be very grateful :o

    Hi bails,
the way they do this is very confusing, when you get your delivery note it still looks as if you`ve been charged for your delivery but when you check what`s actually been debited from your bank card it`s taken it off if IYKWIM

Can you please put me down for £140 for four weeks(online shop every two weeks) for Myself and teenage Daughter.

I am hoping to rein it in as I am losing control of my spending.
My Asda shop arrives tommorrow so will start then ,4th May - June 1st

This is my first grocery challenge ,though I have been observing;) for a few months.

I have stocked up on special offers such as Robinsons barley 3 for £1.50 so I ordered 6 bottles hopefully will last 3 months or more.

I buy milk and bread and freeze them as I don't live near a supermarket and it would cost more in the local shop ,and it means I never run out and do not impulse buy when I nip to the local shop.

I store my list on Asda in advance so if I find something cheaper when I am out just delete it of my list.
I bought bread and tinned tuna from Farmfoods when I was passing the other day and made a great saving.

    Asda tuna 64p each
    John west from F/F £1.25 for 3

I cannot keep up with the price rises and add stuff to my basket(online)and when I go back in a few days it has went up in price:eek:

    Morning all!
Just waiting for Sainsbugs to deliver our groceries, then need to work out what is included in the food shop and what is other stuff, as I only include food in my budget now-we've not needed to buy cleaning stuff for ages, although will need to get another big bottle of white vinegar very soon. The non food stuff is mainly vitamins which I stock up on every so often as I have to take so many supplements (advised by my GP and specialist), plus hay fever stuff for OH as it's so much cheaper to not get it on prescription.
Then I'm off into town to send off passport and pick up some sausage meat as I want to try the Nigella mini meatloaves this weekend.

ISTHATREDUCED - have you tried the Asda smartprice tuna chunks?

I`ve tried both chunks and flakes but we prefer the chunks, give them a go next time you do your Asda shop as they`re only 29p per tin.

I've done a biggish shop in asda and *should* manage til the end of month on what I've got. Still got a few quid if I need some extra fruit or something though :) Managed a cheap one as I'm working on emptying the meat rich freezer this month.

Asda have an angel delight type dessert thing for 3p per sachet by the way. 3p!! Just add milk :D Oh and a kilo of utterly betterly only £1, thought that was pretty good!

I've got two months worth of smoothies stockpiled up too, still on 3 for £2 but not sure how much longer the offer will last, then it'll be up to £1.10 each, a huge difference really.

edit - my spending also includes two locking andwich box things and a baking tray, i include household stuff in the gc budget

well just been and done my first shop of the month and decided to go to Morrisons rather than do an online shop.....never again:mad: there was shelf stacker's everywhere so you couldn't actually get near anything (and for a Sat morning when the shop is heaving thats not a good thing LOL) and I couldn't find any value stuff anywhere and when I asked I was told "Oh we don't sell that any more"
So good old Lidl got my pennies instead
Any hoo of to update sig and look for some meal ideas for this week

    Good luck everyone

    Hi bails,
if you go to the Asda home page and login when you go to the groceries part at the top of the page is a line of options.
If you click on details then all your personal info should be there, check it`s all ok and as you scroll down you should have a payment details bit which is where your bank/credit card details go. If yours aren`t in there then you can click an option to add a card and save it.
Did you get a confirmation email from Asda saying when your shopping would be delivered and a list of your order?
