  • First spend this month today.
Would have been a lot more if i hadn't checked the reciept before leaving the shop. Anyone else have problems with supermarkets saying something is on offer, only to get home and find that the offers haven't come up at the checkout:mad: three times this week at the same supermarket. I feel a nasty email to head office coming on.

If you have time i would reccommend that you check the reciept before you leave the store.
I always do this and if i find any discrepencies i then toddle off to customer service for a refund of the overcharged item/s.;)

Hi everyone, just a quickie as we've just spent the last 2 1/2 hours on my supermarket - OH is not happy  Anyhoo, I've done an Asda order and used a free delivery code - how do I know the delivery code worked? Also, it hasn't asked me to pay anywhere  No doubt there is an obvious explanation for this - spot the online ordering virgin - but if someone could put me out of my misery I'd be very grateful :o

Just did the first shop of the month - fell over on wet pavement at kids school and bruised my hip so OH came to to help me hobble round. Result is that instead of just milk and sugar (which is what we went in for) we came out with over £11 of stuff:mad:

Got some BOGOFs from Morrisons though
Clover sausage rolls (for school lunches as DS won't eat sandwiches)
school bars (for school lunches as DD won't eat fruit)
rindless back bacon (now what can I do with 4 packs of the stuff!)

No whoopsies worth getting but the BOGOF's were worth £6.89 and stuff I would normally buy anyway so not feeling too bad.

I did tonight after being overcharged earlier this week.

    HUGS Tap Lady,
    CONGRATULATIONS to Searching me!!
Egon my oh makes best hand made bread too. (after i taught him to watch the texture its feel silky when ready for rising.)
didn't manage nsd as when went to get petrol for strimmer (diff budget) popped into morrisons.
£10 spend inc.£7 on bottle of gin for sloe gin making. + sweety day for kids and chocy for me as missed out yesterday as hm biscuits yuk!( flour disaster) plus 2 x soda crystals at 50p total.
made up for it by making lasange for tea which kids loved. oh said it was a bit bland, he was brought up on west indian food.
oh used to do most of the cooking mostly from scratch, with any thing in the cupboard and make it taste good.
But since i have been inspired by all you old stylers I've been doing lots more.
    have a good weekend

I can also recommend checking receipts before leaving, we once bought a pack of tortilla wraps, they came up at £30:eek:   we did spot it and get it refunded. Some of the stores give a refund and vouchers as an apology. I agree they must get a lot of extra revenue this way, not everyone thinks to check.
  • £30:eek:  omg.

Thats a week + worth of shopping. Horrendous mistake.

I know what you mean, I know people that would not think twice about going back but all these pennies add up.
The other day in Mr m i got overcharged for 2 cartons of cream, was advertised as 50p but i got charged 70p.
I know 40p is not much but it does add up.
