Having a fantastic day. Went to Asda this morning for my final shop of the month. Spent £44.09, but this included lots of bogofs & 2 crates of grolsch (£7 each)
This brings my total for the month to £301.35 / £360. I'm pretty sure I won't need to buy anything else before the weekend, when my new Month starts.
I got the beer as a treat for DH. He's been frantic all week as he had a job interview this morning. He got the job :j . It's at the same school as we work at now, but he's now the head of Maths, so he'll get £3 - 4000 pay rise.
That'll help with the mortgage. Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j0 -

Hi,
Our Lidl is selling Charmin for £6.49 this week. Not sure if it already started or if it starts tomorrow. It will work out at £0.27 per roll. Cheaper then Tesco own.

Afternoon all

Popped out for a few extra fruit/salad bits this morning... Its a bank holiday tomorrow so everywhere will be closed...glad i only wanted a few bits ...Aldi was packed  -though being trained by you lovely lot i fit in with the locals rather well;) ...elbows out head down and don't let anyone get between me and what i want.... I am eventually getting used to the fact that no-one but me seems to say excuse me, please, thankyou and your welcome ...in my best German at that
picked up a cumber, oranges, kiwis, golden kiwis, and treated myself to 4 tuna steaks that have gone in the freezer mmmmm just under €8 to add to my total
Hubby has just rung from work to say he has heard of a lake near by so we are off tomorrow (weather permitting
) for a walk.. hubby says there is a restaurant there somewhere...but would I like to pack a bit of a picnic instead :j he is getting the idea... so i will stick my head in the fridge in a moment and cobble together a pasta salad and some bits n bobs.. good excuse for using up some bits n bobs :T
Dink1...... you might be a bit over this month -but just wait until those veggie bits n bobs you got this month start paying you back with lots of lovely goodies ..you will save a fortune :j ... a packet of lettuce seeds costs less than 1 lettuce at the moment and you will get hundreds of lettuces off it

I have not joined the grocery challenge yet....I think it is too late for May though now, as our May is nearly over. Will I look for the June thread when June comes ?
Re the Loo roll, LIDL stuff (the pink patterned one) is good, and if you fancy something a bit posher the green one is even better!

Couldn't agree more:D i think i might just get that one printed on a T shirt, to annoy Mr. B's friend who is a very annoying Chelsea supporter. last couple of years when i allowed Mr. B to have sky sports, he used to invite himself and his annoying nephew over to watch footie. so i cancelled it:D He had to get it himself now MR. B goes over there...peace and quiet:T
Now to find that cheap transfer stuff for computer to print out.:D

Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
