Morning All
Went on a whoopsie hunt last night to Mr M's(did I see you The cat?).
Mr M's is my local (within walking distance) supermarket but I have never been at 7.30pm before. Anyway, lots of bakery goodies were reduced and on a temporary shelf right as you walk in the door:D. So I got 4 hotpots for 59p, 4 cheese & onion slices for 59p, 3 panninis for 25p and a garlic butter flatbread for 25p. I would have got more but I was worried my freezer wouldn't cope :rotfl: .
Got lots of other things like ice cream, choccy for OH's craving, and some wine and beer for BBQ if weather permits this weekend. Spent 23.24 altogether, sig updated.0 -

:hello: Hi all
Managed to have loads of NSD this month and am doing really well for my target.
Managed to make a salad last 5 days last week so will try the same again this week. It stayed fresh too and just required the odd top up and something on the side to make it a meal (good job i love salad:rolleyes: )
Keep up the good work all, even if you miss your targets, the reductions that your making are brilliant:TThe first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -
Went to iceland yesterday and spent£10.30. Won't put it all on this month tho as enough frozen veg and crispsfor next month in it. Prob only use £3-4 of it this month- if even! Frezzer is packed have to shove the door hard to shut. MAy take £5 of mince off this month as have 8 dinners worth left after this months meals! Also £2.50 wort of cod and £2.50 of salmon is for next month. meh. will decide later.
Had to order oil - £375 for 600L. Eeep. Thankfully MIL is paying as she gets discount so can pay her back after pay day.0 -

i've been back out in the garden this morning, altho it looks like its gonna chuck it down soon. My brother spent yesterday aft building me a greenhouse/lean-to thingy for me to put my cucumber & tomato plants in. i've got 6 grow bags in there, and i've just been out putting the stakes in for them........my back's breaking cos you can't stand up inside it......the air was pretty blue by the time i'd finished, what with one of the dogs trying to get inside all the time and pouncing on me, thinking i was playing hide&seek :rotfl:
am just off to Primark now to take a pair of flip flops back cos they broke before i even got them on!! i'm gonna be really good tho, and only swap them over..i WILL NOT buy anything else in there
anyway, sorry for waffling, hope you all have a good day xx0 -
With todays shop, my total come in At £165, so far. Not too bad really and i have included a meal out in that. We are away over bank holiday and i have budgetted for extras to and from. It is self catering, so shouldn't be too bad.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

HI guys,
I lack motivation today, things are always easier if I bake and sort stuff but can't seem to find the inclination. Had a great day yesterday - and actually enjoyed shopping for food rather than it being a chore. Its funny how after doing this your mindset changes!;)
Got to start thinking of a menu for next month......
Jayjay, - hope your oh gets the job! let us know

"4th NSD for me and I think I can survive till Friday without spending any more."
I must be going mad - when I wrote this last night I forgot that I went to the shops on Monday, so although yesterday was a NSD it wasn't the 4th in a row,so not sure if it counts?
I think I am really cracking up as I spent time before leaving for work making egg salad for my pack up and OH's lunch before I remembered that he was out today and wouldn't need a lunch. I covered it in cling film and hope it will still be ok for tomorrow. What do you think - I put it in the fridge - but the eggs were already de-shelled and quartered. Will it keep ok,or will I give him food poisoning?
I may have to buy some more salad and fruit before Friday but I am going to try and wait till then.
must dash

It'll keep fine in the fridge for a few days. Some people make up a batch of egg mayo/ tuna mayo to store in the fridge instead of making fresh each day. BTW boiled eggs (still in their shells) keep for a week in the fridge so if you have some eggs that are coming up to their bbd boil them and store in the fridge. HTH
