If you have to pay up front I would assume its a scam, if it was that good they could take the money out of your first earnings. Its annoying that they prey on people who need to make extra money.0

hi regarding Avon, i was a sales leader and it doesn't pay well, you have to buy appointment packs (you only get refunded if the new rep puts on an order over £72.00), bags, samples, brochures (as a sales leader you have to buy your new rep's books for the first two campaigns (and again only get refunded if the rep puts on an order above £72.00). You have to take in the cost of recruiting, petrol, time and efffort. I was a sales leader for over a year and found that a lot of reps left avon without paying their bill and the commission you've been paid will be reclaimed by Avon. I also found that although i had a very large number of reps so many left that i could never make advanced even though i was recruiting approx 10 reps a week. You are very lucky if you get a decent area manager mine was so terrible she was eventually sacked and when the new one came in she didn't want to know about territory problems. Yes some people are earning a lot of money but there's only 3 people who are earning the top money and i think you'll find that they recruited all their Kleeneze reps when they first started, they also started when sales leadership first started 4 years ago. I agree there is money to be made but there is also a lot of money to be lost. The only good thing i will say about Avon is that it's easier to sell than Kleeneze (i've done that as well).0

I got an email for something I actually forgot about - I am now writing an article for a womens' erotica website and it pays quite well.:)
Have a look at https://www.freelancersintheuk.co.uk for freelance work if you have skills like writing, journalism, photography and so on.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

If you go on the freelancers site you will have to trawl through the listings of projects available, there are about 5 pages. You can also add yourself to the list of people available. I have got work this way but it was a total bolt out of the blue when the phone rang! You have to take the initiative yourself and send people an email or give them a ring. If you have written articles for voluntary organisations it helps (I had)
I am surprised no-one has mentioned lap dancing in this thread (have they???) It is VERY well paid and there is NO requirement to do 'extras' LOL.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Think you did well to stick it for a year! I do Kleeneze and have to say, you don't get any hassle whatsoever!'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'

Ok, Ive trailed through 95% of this thread and have signed up for pretty much all of the paid survey sites that have been mentioned and have earned close to £10 in just a week
so thanks to everyone that has posted!!
I have compiled a spreadsheet with a list of 24 of the popular paid survey/product testing sites along with their websites and columns to fill in your username, password and earnings for each site. I am happy to email it across to anyone that would like it, just drop me a private message with your email address and I'll send one off to you ASAP.
Happy Earning All!!!0 -
Well after becoming debt free at the end of 2006, I've now moved to trying to be mortgage free so came across to this board
So the following is what I have started to do to try and get extra money each month to over pay the mortgage.
1. Sell on ebay
2. Typing from home in the evenings (transcriptions of interviews etc)
3. Book-keeping from home (just a few hours a week)
4. Kleeneze
5. Avon (decided if I was going door-to-door with Kleeneze why not Avon too!)
6. I've been offered a cleaning job but have decided to turn it down cos I literally have no more hours left in the day!!
Of course this is all on top of my day job
Up to today's date this little lot has brought me in £600 extra this month. Not a bad start I'd say.DFW Nerd no: 1490 -
£600.00 per month is brilliant Well done. Just wish I had the time! Running my own business, two small children and renovating a house doesn't leave much room for extra work (or energy) but my time will come! Good Luck!0

I've two little uns too! Five year old and 2 year old, most of my 'extra' stuff is done in the evenings when they are safely tucked up in bed, the joys of getting work you can do at home. The Kleeneze and Avon is only done for 4 hours per week when hubby does the childminding! Only 5 more years of it to go :eek:DFW Nerd no: 1490

£600!!! Well done you!
It just goes to show that a little hard work and effort can make all the difference.
One question, how did you get into the typing from home? This is something I would love to do in the evenings for extra cash. Is there any particular websites or agencies that you used?0
