Hi can you tell me how you find the sticking labels to envelopes please - I work full time so something like that is ideal! ThanksIf you are in a new area and don't know many people, or just typically have Friday evenings free, why not get a job in a bar? It doesn't have to be a noisy pub, there are lots of smaller cafes, restauraunts and bars that always need reliable staff for a Friday / Saturday evening and if they are short may be happy to take you for just one evening a week or even one a fortnight. Our local arts center employs staff on this basis, with occasional weekday evenings and weekend lunchtimes thrown in. It's a friendly place and although it doesn't pay a lot, every little helps - if it's enough to tip the balance between having a bit left over and not quite having enough it's worth it!
Other things I've done are driving a nightbus (met loads of lovely people) and sticking address labels onto envelopes - this was great as you can watch the tele while you do it.
Or you could try being an Avon representative if there's not one in your area, and meet your neighbours while you earn a few pennies.0 -
I personally love party plan as many may have seen on previous posts of mine
It just fits around family and other commitments so well
Also there are so many to choose from now so I suggest to anyone considering this form of extra income to look at companies that sell products that they personally love because as well as the extra income most companies offer free products as extra incentives
Personally I am involved with The Body Shop at Home and just adore the company for it's products, ethics and the fact that I am actually earning that extra income that we so desperately need
Good luck everyone

Personally ever since Loreal bought out Body Shop I haven't purchased anything. I feel it was a sell out to a huge corporation that are happy to test cosmetics on animals.
So I agree that party plan is great as long as you believe in your products and the ethics behind them. Whistle while you work...0 -
lynnechapman wrote: »Just to let you know that I am putting together a web site which will inform and educate (I hope!) members of the public about what market research is and how they could get involved by attending groups. It will also allow people to submit their name and area online and then be referred to a market research group recruiter near to where they live (assuming there is one in their area). I hope people think that this is a good idea; the idea came partly out of the interest I have had from people on this board.

The website is now up and running and people can read all about market research focus groups and market research group discussions, what they are, what they entail and how people can get involved. There is a facility for people to register their interest and then they can be put in touch with recruiters in their own area. It's at www.consideredresponse.co.uk

Many thanks, I edited it before but just deleted the extra "o" . Thanks to you I realise that you actually have to retype the whole thing so have done that.
