save-a-lot wrote: »Hi
I have myself booked onto a 4 day intensive plastering course at a cost of £260, so hopefully I will come away from that with a good enough standard to do this on the side at weekends. Hopefully I will redeem the cost of the course in the first job or 2.
If you dont mind me asking where did you do your course and who with because 260 sounds a very good price!!0 -
Plastering course - https://www.tesop.co.uk - great teachers, and I came away able to achieve a standard good enough to do jobs for people0

Just got a new 'on-the-side' job. It might work for anyone who is good at cooking.
I cook meals for a disabled man who is unable to eat ready meals or the meals on wheels as he is allergic to certain foods. So I go to his house, use his cooking utensils and ingredients, and batch cook for him. So the only outlay I have is the bus to his everything is provided. He has booked me for 1/2 day once a fortnight and lunch for me is included. I'm getting £30 a session.
thought it might give anyone else out there another idea for a bit on the side job.Proud to be sorting my life out!

I offer a 'cooking service' for my doula clients (my proper job!) and the guy is a friend of a friend. But i might be looking for a bit more like this for regular so I'll probably advertise at the local day centreProud to be sorting my life out!

One of the unis in our area is advertising for exam invigilators, it is well paid, over £7 per hour
I would suggest looking on FE colleges websites, universities and suchlike as I am sure they have a reasonable demand for this sort of work.

I do paid surveys, cashback/points reward sites, rate websites, product testing, mystery shopping, sell old stuff online and at car boot sales, scanning my shopping, focus groups, competitions, receiving snail mail, and i run a website http://www.ilovefreebiesuk.net all about how to earn from home and get free stuff! It was fairly easy to make (and i was a complete beginner!) I first started creating the content in word, as i didnt have or know about free website design software. I managed to get hold of frontpage and just played about with it and just copy and pasted the content over.
Something like Frontpage is good in that you dont have to know html, it converts it all for you. Timewise, i could have cut lots of corners, but i wanted it to be, just so. So I've put in a lot of hours and it took months of work to research and create it. But i'm really pleased with it as a first attempt and others seem to think so too, which is fantastic. Especially when they go out of their way to say so. It never fails to cheer me up!
Had a look at your website and must say that it is very informative and well set out. You've obviously put a lot of time and effort into it. Well done!
I am going to make good use of a lot of your info. Thanks a lot.

Hi all
brilliant thread, some great and some (not so great) ideas! :rotfl:
I wasn't going to add mine as they are noyt mega-bucks but I achieved the £500 by xmas challenge so they can't be that bad!
Ok the following is my list of extra money:- I work part time in a shop so always try and get overtime when there are sales, floor moves etc.. Just about every retailer is looking for christmas temps right now so even if its only for a few weeks, there are some great chances for retail money earning right now.
- I sold loads of books recently on amazon, made about £80 in a month. Particularly good are textbooks and study books.
- I ebay a lot, I try and stick to the 'one in, one out' rule, meaning if I buy a top I try and sell one. I ebayed full time last summer and made about £300 a month. When you get really good you can buy to sell, for example, I went into a high street store and saw a huge load of £2 bras on buy one get one free. I bought 30 of them and sold them for £2.99 each! Also, if you are totally confident in the field in whivh you are selling, you can buy wholesale off the net and sell on. Please only do this if you are entirely confident. My tip - if you are going to this, become a specialist in one area e.g. clothes so you are 100% focussed on what you are doing.
- Pigsback - have got £20 of vouchers in 6 weeks :T
- Survey sites - slow but some good potential earnings (see sig.)
- Jars - these are simply an easy way to save. Save all your 20p and under coins and you will be amazed by how much you make!
- I have recently been accepted by AQA, not an easy process but godo potential earnings.
- Daily clicks - I'm not great at this as I'm too lazy but they do add up!
 Total debt £21,000 :eek:Weight loss to date - 2 st, 2lb:j0 -
hi
just go to www.ilovefreebiesuk.net and click on paid surveys. All the five and four star ones are the best ones!
Hope that helps
