There is a card company in my town that is in the yellow pages and i know that some people pack cards from home however there is usually a waitiing list also not to well paid i wouldnt think but worth looking in your yellow pages for similar and give them a ring.

There is a book in my local library i once got out that had lots of ideas cant remember them now but worth looking in the library for books with the title how to make a bit of extra money or cash there was lots of ideas.

I was just wondering about this working on ebay thing. If you want to buy stuff in to sell on, or even lets say it was your own ebooks you sold, how does this work if you are on benefits? How do you go about from being on benefits to being in an ebay business, even if it might be a relatively small venture that makes pocket money as opposed to huge amounts and that you are not doing for a set amount of hours each day. Any input or experience of this would be appreciated.
Apologies up front if I've got this on the wrong thread.

  • Hi
I know you posted the thread a while ago now asking if anyone living in Nottingham would be interested in Market Research Projects. I live in Nottingham and would love to do this. Are you still looking for people? If so can you let me have some more details please. Many thanks and hope to hear from you soon.

Sorry, only just seen this. Let me know if you are still interested.

If you are only selling your own unwanted stuff then you dont have to declare it. However, if you buy stuff with the intention of selling it on to make a profit on a regular basis, then you are obliged to register with the inland revenue as self-employed within 3 months or face a fine. Not sure exactly how this will affect your benefits, as you wont know what you will earn, to be able to get them to work out the difference, so you might have to do it once you have some records to show them. Then they can reclaim any benefits you were overpaid, and can adjust future payments, until the next time you show them your records.
