Hello Grannynise
I see you are from the beautiful city of London. Which part? I'm in the London Borough of Ealing. West London born and raised. Have you heard about the Westfield Shopping Centre that should be opening soon? It will be the biggest in Europe and just two train stops away from me! OH is considering cutting up all my cards - the temptation might get too much and my moneysaving ways will go down the drain.I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0 -
hi all, sorry to hear about the car tagz, what a shocker! Still hopefully it will all be sorted out fine, at least shes admitted shes a bit of a fool!
Hope any poorly people feel better soon.
Well done on s of the w Pinklipgloss!
Bails well done on the bingo win, any ideas for numbers for sat on the lottery, well you never know you might be on a winning streak.
Granny, you're so right about Ajax - he normally would answer straight back with something naughty - are you back to yourself today Ajax?
Being bad again, gonna have a very little takeaway tonight!
catch you all tomorrow xIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -
Glad you got the saddle issue sorted Raph! I was out on my bike today, it was absolute bliss in this weather. I'm hopefully going to try for a longer ride out tomorrow

BB - how was your day yesterday?
.
Lots of delicious HM pastry/chicken pie & banoffie pie, rolls and lashings of butter, but back on plan today. Chicken risotto tonight. We've been testing out a SW 'cake' make from chickpeas, apricots and almond essence. Quite good actually. Really don't like using splenda (also in this recipe) but decided to give it a go in the short term until OH has lost a stone. Pity flapjack is so:eek: on the calorie front.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Hey everyone,
sorry granny, im here! Half 12 you can uncross them, but because the exam invigulators (sp?) are intent on mucking up my times that ive set to the minute, it will no doubt be a 9:35 start, or something random!
I think Ajax is all one lined out after the atrocious one he said yesterday!
Tagz and granny= not to far from me! Love london, one of the places ive never fully conquered even though its so close ish. I only went to see buckingham palace a year and a half a go, havent done any of the museumsThe only bit of london i saw was when i went to visit my dad in hospital, in the very attractive area of tooting!
I knew how it felt to become a minority group for the first time ever.
anyway! im cooking dinneri had to ask my mum how i cook the carrots, matt volunteered to peel one carrot. I well cant spell, ignore me! althogh i have written over 28 pages of a4 in 6 hours. That sounds professional doesnt it.

But yesterdy was nice. We were not allowed in to Mum and Dad's until we have promised not to use the HB phrase, the '80' word or sing Happy Birthday (seriously):rotfl: . My dad had opened his cards and would only allow any without the word '80' blazoned on the front to be put up:D . Knowing my Dad, I hadn't even got him a birthday card:rotfl: :I was therefore declared his favourite child for the day (brother's cards both had glittery 80's on the front.) He was almost speechless with how good he thought I looked in my frock and 'so slim'

Well done on being the fav child BB, it is my Dad's 80th next year so I will be interested to see if he is intending to celebrate it at all!
we are thinking about risotto a couple of times next week as we have a load of frozen home made stock to use! I think on top of that I need to start having a whole load of home made soups for lunch (either that or Jkt spuds) as the kcals in commercial soups are  and oh boy will I be glad when this week is over - I am eating chocolate ice cream as though it was going out of fashion!:rotfl:Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Dragon- bails is collecting names and email addies of any peeps interested in the idea of a meet up, venue yet to be decided but a day at a spa has been mentioned. PM bails if up for it, or for being in the info loop.
missyg -have you ever read anything by Bettina Selby - a keen lone cyclist traveller - she's done some amazing trips by herself. My favorite is following the pilgrim route to La Compostella de St Iago. Once upon a time I promised myself I would do that trip one day, as I did a little cycle touring. (I went round Norway for 3 weeks once by bike.) Don't think it will happen now but it is still a good read. Or Anne Vardy (5 wheels from Turkey' I think) who with her husband took their 5 children to Turkey by plane to cycle home to Canterbury. I was just thinking of you loving cycling and you are your son sound a good team and up for adventureI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0
