If you join SW josie, you can use their online 'calculator' to work this out (you get the new password every week): you need the kcal, protein, carb & fat % for a 100g of your product to do this. They also sell books which have many premade products in from all the supermarkets. There is also a sw forum on here (though you are very very welcome here too! I'm a keen sw'er and haven't used the other forum: very much at home here).Josie_Jump wrote: »Hello,
I'm thinking about having a go at slimming world but wondered how you work out what syn values a certain food is, for instance I like chicken from Sainsburys covered in a southern fried flavouring. I understand that chicken is free on one of the days (red or green?) but how do you work it out if it's not a plain old chicken breast?
thanks
Suggs, when you say...back to my SOW... did Mrs suggs mind...?I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
I've been in town looking for a pair of rain trousers (for hiking). The size 10 (smallest on display) was too big and I asked them if they had the next size down, they told me the next size down was "Age 13" :rotfl:
Thanks BB, I will adjust my terminology I think. I have enough trouble with people thinking I am going to starve myself to a size zero or something:rolleyes: (which with my frame is probably impossible anyway!) I will need something to differentiate between when I am trying to maintain and when I am actively trying to lose a few pounds - to me I do both in a healthy way - at the moment I call the latter one "diet mode"
Suggs, only didn't offer a birthday kiss 'cos I wasn't 100% sure... but you can have several! And a good squish too!
Well, water is back on thankfully! And 265 cals left to enjoy today....!0 -
Suggs! Welcome to the prime of your life. Just ignore young whippersnappers like Ajax.

No, because they were out of plain ones and only had trendy kids patterned ones :rotfl:
I tried them for fit though to save time when the plain ones are back in stock, and they were a bit on the large side too  Maybe I need "age 12"
