(Got a feeling that was swahili for ajax)

.....got it in one, Bb. "Washed out"? Huh???

I just found a decent-sized vegetarian chilli and rice ready meal in Tesco. Was 'only' £1.48, so on the inevitable occasional rush day of not having time and/or inclination to prepare something it could be useful - especially as it's 5.5 syns on a green day. I'll let you know how it tastes.

Breakfast - 2 slices of Warburtons Organic with a Laughing Cow triangle spread across 'em (HeB, HeA)
Lunch - the Tesco Veg Chilli/Rice thingummybob (5.5), WW yogurt
Tea - Spaghetti, passata, Quorn meatballs
Interspersed with: coffee (HeA), 2 bananas, 2 oranges, Ryvita Minis (HeB)

looking good ajax. on lazy green days i'm afraid i have rather a penchant for meatballs and mash - get the kettle on, get the quorn meatballs in the microwave, make the bovril gravy, make the smash, mush it all together in a bowl and go for it. IT tastes like you really shouldn't be eating it on sw, but it's all free! yay!

brighton belle glad you liked the cottage pie it is my all time fav:D that and have the swede, carrot, turnip, celeriac mash with lashing of WW gravy which is very easy to make and no cals hardly, fat free sugar free points free well 1/2 point and just lovely....

frylight in pan, fry off onions and mushrooms (I put loads in because I love them and they are free on WW) waitfor them to brown, then add in a dash of light soy sauce, tomato paste, chicken stock cube(says veg but I put chicken in more flavoursome) and boiling hot water from the kettle with a tsp of plain flour to thicken it, simmer 10 mins, gorgeous kitchen smell and fab to eat:D

I am even taking my stock cubes, frylight and soy sauce on my hols to Spain because I want to make it while over there and will miss it if I don'tget it:D

Can I ask if SW is really as easy as they would have you believe? No weighing? I can't easily get to a group so I am also considering the online option, but no sure if it's a waste of money. If it's just recipes then I could buy a book. Are the groups any use? I used to go to WW however I just paid a fiver to be weighed and that was it.
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!

...I'm sorry if I've missed it, I've scrolled back a couple of times but I can't find out what 'having your colours done' means, I must admit that at first I thought it was having your roots done  it's Swahili to me too  I must live a sheltered (aka boring) life...So if someone could give me a link to the explanation :T Thanks :o ...

Hi Pet. I think it's usually done by a company called Colour Me Beautiful and they work out which range of colours best suits your skin and hair tones. They have catagories like Summer and Autumn and each one is a range of shades which are warm or cool. Some skins suit warmer richer shades of a colour whilst others look best in the paler cool shades.

..... mmm.. not necessarily THAT easy. To keep it as simple as possible, there is weighing to be done if you swap days between red and green - for example on a red day you'd have to weigh potatoes but not lean meat, on a green day you'd weigh chicken but have unlimited potatoes. If you never swap days (like a vegetarian would never do red) then there's very little weighing. Breakfast cereals would be one of the few exceptions.

Online is a waste of money in my humble opinion. You get a spreadsheet, recipes and access to syns online. (I think) it costs £80 for three months which is no less than a class. There are ways of getting online for free though, depending on your scruples - I couldn't possibly elaborate here :D

Groups are pretty similar to WW - you go, get weighed, discuss it and chat about recipes and stuff. To be honest the only thing I miss about groups is not being able to buy their cereal bars, which are absolutely delicious.

EDIT: If you go to class the online is free, unlike WW which charges a supplement.

    Hey all

Congrats losers & maintainers on the chart :D Better luck next week for anyone who didn't get quite what they were hoping ;)

Wendy, brave woman facing up to the gain! That is about the same gain I would have with a more 'relaxed' week... it sure goes on easily doesn't it  Having that knowledge is useful though. Good luck for the next one x

Alison welcome to the group, keep posting so we can get to know you!

Lemon Drop fantastic loss and enjoy your hairdo! What is Go Ape, never heard of that one?

Myself and some friends had our 'colours done' with Colour Me Beautiful [clicky Pet] about 8 years ago (someone else was paying :p). We went in expecting the spring, summer, autumn, winter thing but the consultant said they didn't do it that way any more, and that it was much more personalised now. Have they gone back to it? I have a swatch palette with my best colours and it does still influences my choices in a way (I buy bright, not muted colours), but I understand it changes as you get older so I don't rely on it as much as I did when it was new.

Flowers, balloons, love poems? Are there any other females on here who can't stand that sort of thing :rotfl: or is it just me? :o I really don't have the 'girly' gene at all

Mollymop we all have our different ways and means, thanks for explaining yours :D Best of luck with your own 5lb challenge!

I'm supposed to be toning things down exercise wise this week but so far I think i've increased it :o Oops.
