Ajax: Hope youre chillaxing into your dictionaryAs for the La Senza gift voucher, i would actually go with that instead of crappy old debenhams!! Plus if you go in store i can be 90% sure that they will give you a gift card, we dont keep any gift vouchers anymore, but it may not be the case in bromley or wherever you said.
lol West Bromwich, not Bromley. The local Debenhams would be Merry Hill.I would go by this rule: If you can fit your partners boob into your hand, then go to La senza. If it fills your hand and spills over: go to Bravissimo. La senza is good for nice lingerie, i used to hate it but it has got a lot better. I like going in there alot now. Its got some nice sleepwear, some sexy items as well as your basics. If she is over a DD i would suggest Bravissimo. Get her to be fitted and find her some nice comfy pretty stuff. Asda bras are going to do sod all for her boobs, tell her that going to a proper store and spending £30 will do more than a £10 one from asda. Im afraid with bras, you get what you pay for. (you dont actually have to say that obviously)
.....oh, we're spillin 'I don't think we have a Bravissimo shop though, or if we have I've never seen it.
I wuold get her some roses too ajax. Then she can dry them and press one or something. Thats a bit paper like isnt it. Maybe a balloon!! (i think im going into what i would like now ha)
.......oh my god vix I really can't see that happening.
Jules I think the Dunelm deal must be store-specific. The body fat scales are £30 in ours.0 -
Victory, your cottage pie with mashed celeriac/swede/carrot is the utterly best cottage pie I have EVER tasted. We loved it - thank you sooo much. From an SW point of view this makes a fab meal on red days by not using potato.
Glad I hadn't upset you vix :j . Dragon - so glad Dr Dragon was caught before any further damage. Being expected to work at the weekends for no extra money is ppalling (bad enough if he was paid).
KPC - a 4th loss in a row me thinks:T .
Kymrob - you are doing so well, congratulations. Ditto, tagz, safesound and surfbabe & efrieze for reaching the monthly challenge - I seem to be going for it backwards with 3 on this month, but another 'good day' today, with some really tasty food and a couple of titchy sweet treats and a walk into town.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Well done Kymrob - you will be down to your goal in no time at this rate!

evening all, blimey, you have been chatty today. I've been doing some garden maintenance - it quite nice to be able to potter around without doing major landscaping work all the time. I earthed up my spuddies and planted some sunflower seeds amongst other things. Some terrific losses going on here today well done everyone. Lemon drop, your course sounds like a real treat. Are you a horsey bird then? And who are you learning to joust with? I know a few jousty types you see. V impressed at tenpast posting recipes now and they sounded yummy. I may have to syn them out. Did you say how many they made - can't remember!
ajax, I know someone who did what you do i think. She was a control analyst measuring the effect of drugs as they exit the body. So not only did she get paid whilst she had her morning poo ( as we all try to do, obviously) she got paid more if she did it into a sample container and used it as the control. How cool is that? sorry if anyone is eating whilst reading that btw. V impressed at plan a ajax, i reckon you'll be good to do it.
dragon, take care of yourself. sounds like mrdragons work is a bad place.0 -
Well done everyone and thanks Efrieze for the chart.
Ajax, perhaps you don't understand it cos you're a man?LOL. I've never had it done and as you know am very much not a girlie girl and really hate shopping but I would consider doing it (and not cos I'm from Baaaaaaaaathwhich incidentally I'm not
).
Running peeps - I always found a good soundtrack really helped pass the time, especially on the really long routes (got those to look forward to Suggsy). I tended to use a dance soundtrack which starts off slowly for the warmup and then builds up to a cracking beat for the main run. Obviously now with iPods etc you can create whatever you like much more easily. I'm constantly mentally making new running soundtracks, and I can't even run :rotfl:I didn't use music during the actual races but lots of people did for a real boost.

Hello
Efrieze - thanks for doing the chart, it looks great! Well done for your excellent result too.
Suggs - as you're aiming for next year's marathon, how about doing something shorter in the same place as a training exercise? There's a 10k in London in July, and a certain charity close to my heart has places available - see this thread.
Wendy - well done for being so brave. As Beanielou says, sometimes life gets in the way, and when it does, the best thing to do is draw and line and move on, which is just what you've done. :T
Ajax - I can see your reason for buying vouchers, as the first anniversary is paper, but in my opinion they're a cop out. Your OH will appreciate something you've given thought and consideration to far more. Why not find a beautiful love poem (or write one yourself) and print it out on really nice paper, she'd love it and keep it forever! :kisses3:
Well done everyone - have a great week.

Hi everyone.I see I'm on the list
I don't want you all thinking I'm not losing. It's just that I decided I'm not weighing myself at the moment. The doctor weighed me at an appointment I had on 13/5/08 and I will be next visiting on the 29th.I thought I'd set myself a goal of trying to lose 5lbs in that time.I'm walking everyday, following a low cal diet and trying to walk 5 miles every day.
I will let everyone know how I get on when the 29th comes.Hope thats ok.
Previously when dieting I've jumped on the scales every day to see if I've lost anything.I decided this time I wanted to do things differently and I'm trying to notice if I feel slimmer or if my clothing is looser.
Staying away from the scales is sooo hard though!!lost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013

Hi Sue
I like you had a craving in the evenings, just a thought for you to consider, I made these at the weekend, I can assure you, they do hit the spot:
Hobnobs
8oz sr flour
8oz sugar
8oz porridge oats
8oz margarine
1tbsp golden syrup
1tbsp hot water
1/2 tsp bic soda
mix flour, oats and sugar, melt marg, syrup and water in a pan stir in bic soda and add to dry mix, mix well, make smallish balls and put on greased tray and flatten slightly with a fork, 180oc for 15 mins, cool on the tray, you just want them golden in oven not brown.
I have just one in the evening, and although I'm a novice re cooking, I'll say it myself, there delicious :rotfl:
Hi 10past6 and thanks so very much for the recipe, they sound delicious, but not too delicious I hope or I shan't be able to leave them alone!!!:D Thanks so much for thinking of me, very much appreciated. I'll certainly be trying them.

Hi Molly,
It certainly makes good sense to me, good luck with the scales being 'right' at your weigh in! You really sound as though you'll be making great strides, especially with the walking you're doing (excuse the pun). We had a really good walk again today, not so far as yesterday, but at least 2 miles so not too bad.
Keep going Molly.
