bargainaddict wrote:How about something really nice for your cottage like a special lamp? Every time you switch it on you may be reminded of the light of love and friendship that has shone through for you this week. When I had my last scare 2 years ago, I had myself dead and buried before I had even seen the doctor!! It was my hubby and friends that got me through the 2 week wait.
Or maybe a nice locket you could have pictures of special people in. Let us know what you get, hope you have lots of fun choosing.
I really like that idea Bargainaddict, :j a lamp to remind me of the light of love and friendship that has shone through to me from all of you this week. What a marvellous idea. :j I just need to find one now in my budget. I think I may have a better chance of finding a special one on the web, more stores rather than just a handful in my local town. I shall make that tomorrow's task.~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0 -
How about something with crystals or prisms to remind you that things reflect back - on you and others - in a positive as well as negative way.
Or a crystal angel for relaxation and healing."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
Preemie hats - 2.0 -
How about two champagne flutes to have your bubbly in? Then every time you toast a special occasion you'll remember how glad you are to be around to celebrate it. Plus you can pass them on to your children.
Been thinking of you since I found this thread yesterday. BIIIIG HUGS honey. Lots of love and prayers going out right now.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

So glad that you are feeling so much more positive now, and even looking forward to some theraputic shopping!
I think the idea of a lamp is a lovely one, However dark things seem the sun WILL come up tomorrow ( or you can turn the lamp on ). Enjoy your weekend.0 -
At the moment I am thinking of possibly a nice lamp (to remind me of the light of love and support sent from you all who have replied to my post) and also I like the idea just suggested by SkintChick for 2 champagne flutes to have a toast with the bubbly I am going to be sharing with my hubby on Tuesday night to celebrate getting over what has been, without a doubt, the worst week of my life. I think I may just have enough money with £50. I plan on going to Homebase this afternoon to look at lamps and if I cannot find a suitable one I will browse the web. If you find any online, please send a link so that I can take a look and possibly buy. It needs to be special and if one of you helped choose it that would make it even more special and a reminder of all the goodness you have sent my way this week :A
I had a good night last night (although it was a very late one) I had a lovely aromatherapy bath at midnight, using some soothing Lavender and uplifting Rosemary oils to relax me and calm me - worked a treat, I was well chilled when I got out. I then made a cuppa and did some more research on the web. I was looking up cystic breast disease - which I have learnt to be the clinical term for someone who has either one or more cysts in their breast. My lump fits all the criteria for a 'cyst' and I am now almost 100% certain it is a cyst. I also learnt that Evening Primrose Oil has been used in clinical trials the world over - from the USA to the University in Edinburgh to treat breast cysts. It is to do with the quantity of GLA in the capsule which is what you should look at. Since my shopping trip to Holland & Barratt yesterday, i am now taking 3 x 1000mg (each capsule having 90mg GLA) daily along with all a multi-vitamin complex, high does Vitamin C (1000mg) and a high does vitamin E capsule. I have always taken the vitamin C (rarely get ill or colds) and Vitamin E as it is reported to be good for the skin. In these trials, users who have had breast cysts on one or more occasion, rarely had a reoccurance once they started using Evening Primrose Oil. It can even be prescribed by your GP on the NHS! I didn't know that did you? So, I am fighting this one with it and also ensuring I get no more because the stress of this almost finished me off ( I LOVE life!) and I never want another one!
After my bath I massaged my breasts with the healing blend of aromatherapy oils in a base of Sweet Almond Oil then did a full body massage with another blend for relaxation. It worked! I went to bed at 4am and slept through without waking until 11:30am :T :T :T and I feel fab! Whilst in bed I could definately 'roll' this cyst around which confirms for maybe the 100th time (yes, I am getting obsessive) that it is mobile and I am so relaxed and chilled I am almost horizontal
I will be glad when it is all over on Tuesday and I can celebrate with my husband and my babies (cats)
It is raining outside but in my heart it is sunny. I cannot give you enough indication of how you have all helped me this week, I never guessed when I joined MSE what a fantastic support network it would be in a time of such crisis. I look forward to getting back to just Money Saving :T my favourite hobby though I have spent so much money these past few weeks on buying stuff for the new cottage my bank balance is crying with disress, but who cares! life is for living and loving and if there is one thing I have learnt this week it is to be thankful for the small things in life, the support of good people and above all health, health has no monetry value whatsoever.

Star Anise has more GLA than Evening Primrose.
