The fine needle biopsy I had was completely painless, in fact if they I hadn't told me what was happening I wouldn't have known. None of the tests you will have are either humiliating or painful.
Good Luck and I will keep checking this thread for when you post your good news.
Ember BIG BIG hugs. My experience last year sounds exactly the same as JanCee.
Try and stay positive, I'll be thinking of you xxx0 -

Hi Ember, I get lumps quite regularily and have had to have 4 investigated. The fine needle biopsy was not painful and I am the world's biggest wimp! The most important thing is that you have dealt with it and have put yourself in the hands of the specialists. I want to add my best wishes to you and your hubby at this time.0

Thanks for dropping by and saying hello, you will see a report of what went on at the Doc's on the previous page if you back-track a little.

This afternoon I went off to town (yes, I took my sorry self out for the second time since the news and my mission was Holland & Barratt for some 1000mg Evening Primrose capsules. Years ago, a friend was prescribed these by the Doc for breast pain and she said they worked, so I bought a huge bottle which was luckily on sale at only £11.75 rather than the usual price of £29.99. I plan on taking 3 1000mg capsules a day to fight this little intruder and also I searched through my Aromatherapy manuals (even dug out my old college books from when I did my Holistic Therapist course at college few years ago) and I have made a healing blend to massage into my breasts nightly. These two things will help deal with my cyst in the time I waiting to go to the breast clinic.
When hubby came home from work this afternoon, he sat with me whilst I told him all about the visit to the Doctor's, he was very pleased with what the Doctor has said and managed to convince me that the Doctor is telling the truth and not lieing to me because he daren't tell me I have the Big C (I still have trouble saying that evil word) and I DO believe you all, the Doctor and my husband. That was the state of play when he went to bed at 6pm.
This evening I definately felt more cheerful, news at Docs was positive, Hubby was supportive, more messages on here helping me along so I took myself out to the Chinese and bought a chicken friend rice. I ate the fried rice, Nash ate all the chicken  (I swear this kitten is going to get as fat as a house!) The rice was niceand Nash is now quiet (whoo hoo!) and laid flat on his back on the sofa - long may the peace last...
I watched some TV and about half an hour ago I started having a gentle feel to see if I could notice if it was 'mobile' as the Doctor has said, as I just couldn't see this yesterday, seemed 'stuck in the same place to me' etc. and it was moving gently around easily! Maybe it was the position I was in, laid on sofa but it also felt softer almost. I am not imagining this I am sure. I sat up in a hurry and said to Nash, 'Nash, it IS a cyst' and he opened his sleep eyes to purr at me ( I love that cat :j ) and I am now not scared and looking forward to Tuesday. I am going to take an aromatherapy bath later then use the massage blend I have made and settle down to probably what will be my first good nights sleep tonight. Other good news, hubby got a bonus at work and he told me it is for me to buy myself a little treat as I have been so good these last few days (not true! we all know I've been a right royal pain-in-the-!!!!!!) so I want some ideas of what I can buy with £50I have no idea what to get but I want it to be something special so that I remember this week forever, so that I never take life, my family or all the blessings I have for granted again. Can you give me some ideas what to buy with my £50? I will get it tomorrow and can go out shopping on Saturday or can buy something off the web easily.
Going to browse the boards for a bit tonight. I haven't phoned anyone this evening, I haven't cried and I have smiled an awful lot.~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0 -
How about something really nice for your cottage like a special lamp? Every time you switch it on you may be reminded of the light of love and friendship that has shone through for you this week. When I had my last scare 2 years ago, I had myself dead and buried before I had even seen the doctor!! It was my hubby and friends that got me through the 2 week wait.
Or maybe a nice locket you could have pictures of special people in. Let us know what you get, hope you have lots of fun choosing.0
