Sets of 6 for glass charms
Sandy in Spain0 -
I would have said 6 too,
Re the boxes, I only use them for my most expensive pieces and my wire work pendants (they are on chains and I can't be assed untangling them!), the rest of my stuff when it's sold goes into organza bags, and then into a small plastic bag (that's if it's sold from the stall), if it's a website sale, then depending on what the item is, it either gets wrapped in tissue and put in a pillow box, or it again goes into an organza bag, and then it all goes in a bubble envelope.
Not being much help really am I?0 -
Thanks for the replies, I will do them in sets of 6, but a couple of sets in 4 as some of the charms come in sets of 4, so hopefully will cover all options.

hey guys
just been linked here by a friend and it looks like it's a lovely place and just what I need
been running my own little "business" ina sense for a few years now, lost it's sparkle but just decided to pick it up again this weekneed a new name and a new website but I'll get there (it's linked in my profile if anyone's interested). I work in Fimo (you name it, colourwise I've probably made it, main items are pendants, beads and hairclips) and coloured chainmaille (sometimes together, usually not
boxchain's my weapon of choice) and am looking for craft fairs down south but I'm failing to find any - anyone know where to look?

Did a search on the forum but can´t find any info on these.
Has anyone used split jump rings in jewellery making, how easy are they to use, does the ring ´spread´ at all ie can you see a space between the wires, if you know what I mean.
I was looking at these

I've just started playing with polymer clay. It's kinda fun(although these sorts of things don't fit in with my rock-chick image
)
Mini food brooches:
Mini food ring:
Mini food hair clip
Tiny cup cake charms - (these are really tiny and I hate making them! I have found I can string them on looped kilt pins though and they look really cute)
decorated mini pegs - no idea why I did this, but I had some small coloured pegs so though I'd use them:
Mini fish- have converted these to earrings and brooches.
I haven't done a craft fair for ages - the last ones I did were to help a out a friend organising an event as she was worried she wasn't going to get enough stall holders. I'd like to do another one, but I don't know where to start - this is a new medium for me as previously I only really did glass and ceramics on a large scale and made bits for other people or as donations to fetes.
I have been doing some leather work recently too - I wondered if it would work for a craft fair - I've been wearing it and people have been asking where I got it from (in reality it was just the result of a failed search for an alice band that fits under a crash helmet without causing me pain!) This is one example, although the one I have on today is stitched rather than riveted and leaves rather than squares (a little bit lord of the rings!).
They also work as a necklace and no clasp is needed as they pull tight through a loop on the side. I need to stitch a bead on the end to tidy up the ribbon.
I've a load of crocheted roses which I've stuck on brooch backs too. I need to get a move on and do something as this junk is taking over my house, although the main problem with me is that I don't have a car, so would need something really local.
Any idea what to do with five kilos of identical pink buttons?:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
have you thought about making Fimo food (cakes, sweets, vegetables, meat, plated meals) for Dolls House collectors, most things are in 1/12th scale. This could be expanded to make flowers and plants, even birds like parrots and budgies. This would add another string to you bow for craft fairs or even ebaying

Love the food, I have been busy making liquoirice allsorts, and then branched out into Bertie Bassets, slices of pizza, lollypops and marshmallow flumps, but my best seller recently is burger and fries (one earring is a burger, and the other a little red box of fries). Am gonna have to make some more soon0

Sandy
Hi Sandy - I bought gold plated split jump rings to put my charms on my bracelet until I could pay to have them soldered on. I found some of them did open up a bit and they used to catch on things like jumpers, that kind of thing. They also went dull pretty quick too.0
