My OH switched our energy to Scot Power Fixed to 2011 this morning via Cash Back Kings and the £72 is already tracking. We now have the peace of mind that our energy prices fixed for 2+years and we can get out of it if prices drop.Their were slightly cheaper fixed tariffs available but we opted for the longest fix.

    Dear Glasgow_DFW and mute_posting.

Thank you both for your interest and advice. My annual use is:

    Gas: 17000 KW Hours
    Electric: 2800 " "

I am in Mpan 12. Am I correct in thinking that the NSC version of this offer would benefit low users only? Gosh things were easier when we had a pre-pay meter & a two bob bit on a bit of string!

    Many thanks

    Mike

We went for the fix nsc until 2011. According to SP it will make no difference to our DD and we are currently £160.00 in credit. Also as we have the Summer months ahead now we should build up a good credit but will probably ask for a chunck back in the Autumn.

Im not sure on the gas tiers but generally tier 1 for electric is about 900-1000 Kwh per year AFAIK

So the NSC (on the electric) would only benefit those that use below that ammount (you'll not pay any more by being on it if you use more than tier 1, so it isn't to your detriment to be on it)

Thinking of changing to SP fixed 2011. Currently with Southern Electric. Yearly Consumption Elec - 3960
    Gas - 330
Can anyone advise if thats a good move?
    Thanx

Is that gas in Kwh (I doubt it) if not is it m3 or cubic feet (100's of)?

Having just checked my bills for the last year I'm wondering if my gas meter is working properly, as its Kwh.

Yes we use it for cooking, water and heating a 2 bed house, with 3 adults.
