On price comparison websites, what is this deal called? There's a Fixed Price 2010 price guarantee one and another Fixed price energy NSC Online etc etc.. I am on this 2011 tariff but I can't tell which tariff to choose on any of the comparison websites.

Did the price fix until 2011 come with an exit fee? I'm sure this one didn't but reading MSE newsletter mentions an exit fee - is this just on the later price fix tariffs?
Just on the tarriffs which came out after this one closed.
No fee on this one.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

I have just finished switching to Scottish Power, Whats the best number to make sure im on fixed?
thanks0 -
Tomlewis2007, I am in the same position as you. Applied for the 2011 fixed package in May and have only just completed due to complications (and much frustation) with the gas ... previous supplier told them I was a business customer using about 80,000KwH gas/year! Finally, ScottishPower emailed me last week for an initial gas reading (electricity done in July).
Today I received a letter from ScottishPower saying that my gas & electricity account had been setup and the package was: Fixed Price Energy Online 2011. That saved me some frustrating 'phone calls. Hopefully your paperwork will arrive soon.
Best of luck.:j0 -
Can anyone advise?.I joined this plan in June.Electric was switched no problem.Having real problems switching Gas.My previous supplier sent me final bill about a month and a half ago and they say i have switched to Scottish Power.Scottish Power claim that my previous company keep rejecting transfer!?.I am in a fairly new house that uses an independant gas transporter instead of Transco. This company also claim that i am with Scottish Power and not with my previous company.
So at the moment i am recieving gas without a company!.How can i get this sorted as the consumption is racking up and im worried about getting a massive bill months down the line!....Thanks>>Neil0 -
Hi neil40,
What is the reason that ScottishPower gives for your old/existing(?) supplier rejecting the transfer? Find out and try Energywatch on 020 7799 8340. Explain the situation, get some advice and ask them to bang the two suppliers heads together so you don't miss the deal. ScottishPower told me I would be fine with the 2011 tariff IF the transaction went through within 3 months of applying. I was a few days over that, but got there eventually. You are getting close to the limit, so get on their case, then speak to Energywatch. Hi Tom,
I phoned 0141 5686806, although there maybe a free number on saynoto0870. Scottish Power do not list a phone number on their website and prefer you to email.
Managed to give them my meter reads and they agree now that DD should stay at £66/mth and not jump to £100 as they planned.
So give them a call if you think you are being reassessed to high.*** This Space For Rent ***0 -
There is a free number to get through to Scottish Power- 08004002000
