I am a current Scottish Power electricity customer, I am trying to switch to the 2011 fixed tariff, I am currently trying to register online in order to switch, but is it just me or is the "your account" section down tonight.
I was on it an hour ago, just checked now and its not there. I hope they are not removing the fixed rate options.0 -
Not working here either just checked0

I initiated the switch to this tariff last month, and received the email tonight asking for my meter readings.
Their website was going very v e r y v e r y slooooooooooooooooooow.
It took me about 20 minutes to log in using the application number provided and enter the readings.
Given the BBC headline tonight about the 40% rises then I am feeling more confident that for once I have made a reasonable decision.0 -
I had the email for the meter readings last week, website was fine then. Wonder what they are doing with it at the moment. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

If you had an online account with them it's still been available to transfer to online. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... That will be why I said it is available online only and not by phone
However, I note that section of the website (Change My Service) now says:
We are sorry - this service is currently unavailable while we carry out essential maintenance.
We will be back up and running by 8:00am if you would like to come back then
...so I'm guessing that the available packages may well have changed when it comes back on!
Their website will have been slow last night due to having unusually heavy traffic from 6.00pm onwards when the News came on the telly.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
I managed to switch online today to the Feb 2011 Fixed Deal, their website was down last night and I expected they were updating it and were about the pull the deals but this is not the case.
I feel quite nervous about whether changing from Pricefall Online deal until Nov 08 to the Feb 2011 deal is the right one as it is a gamble regarding future rises but it's done now! Tax credits have sent me an extra £100 as I overestimated slightly on last year's salary, I have used £50 of it today to bolster up my fuel account and made a card payment to Scottish Power this morning.Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time :mad:0 -
We moved into a new build home last month, and have Scottish Power as both our Electricity and Gas provider.
I signed up for a dual bill, with online payments but following the news yesterday, i like everyone else am looking to move to a capped price plan. We're not signed up to their website as yet, and the account number we have is at home. so I can't register with the website, till this evening.
Hopefully we can still switch, if not I'll just have to take it on the chin, make everyone wear jumpers and use candles instead0 -
Got my paperwork through yesterday confirming my fixed till 2011 deal. Glad I registered for this sight otherwise I would of missed this deal.
CheersGetting thrifty in my old age!:beer:0
