Scottish Power fixed price to 2011

One other thing ... with these fixed rates, particular the SP "fixed to 02/11" one - what happens if the price for fuel goes down between now and then ? Are you tied in until Feb 2011 ?
I asked if there were any penalties if I wanted to either move suppliers or charge tariffs if the alleged price rises don't happen. I was told that you are on a 28 day rolling contract so if you want to leave or change tariff all you have to do is give them 28 days notice in writing. Same if they want you to leave, they must give 28 days notice in writing.
There is no termination fee if you do the above. If you don't do the above you have to pay a termination fee.

Hmm ... rather reluctantly signed up an hour ago at a hike of over 30%. But better deal than current supplier EON - which is more expensive and finishes Oct 09.
But Scottish Power confirmed their capped rate finishes at 1600hrs today ... so that's a fair indication rises are now imminent? If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Even if the hike is not as massive as predicted (though I think it will be), none of us can complain. We have the greatest thing which is surity.
I think the fact that Martin was on TV other day saying he's signed up to a capped price was a good enough reason for me. I don't want to pay masses, so am willing for fork out a little extra that I know I CAN afford to give me that piece of mind.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
% of house owned/% of mortgage paid off. July 25 - 38.82%/31.66%

It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
He goes on GMTV quite regularly. It was on that. There are links on the GMTV website that he puts on as well.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Right, thanks.
Will have a look, don't watch GMTV, that would be why I missed it then.
I've always been tight-fisted with money, and always interested in if I agree with the advice given. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... Hi Mikegahan,
Oh dear, it looks like I may have missed this supplier to quote me, I will have to give them a ring just to see what the deal is, thanks for the info...0
