Just called SP as no email confirming application had been received since applying 15th May for the father in law, but had received an email confirmation for my switch, and queried whether it was to do with the fxd 2011 being pulled, but was advised that you can still call and apply - its only pulled from the website. Was advised that account is setup, and correspondence sent via the post .

The email confirmation you rec'd about the switch - was that from moneysupermaket.com?

I too applied via the above site on 13th May and rec'd my confimation telling me SP would be in touch - to date i have heard nothing - should i be worried??

Does anyone have details of the SP fixed 2011 with standing charge? I was going to run some scenarios and see if it was worth it (costs 20% more than npower, so I wanted to see what various price rises would do to my first year costs). But now I can't get details of it.

I have a booklet with the prices on here as I am in the process of changing over to them. It depends on where you are in the country as to how much you are charged. If you let me know where you are I can tell you how much it is!

I applied via moneysupermarket.com on 8 May and it took a week for SPOW to email me and confirm switch and then yesterday I got a letter confirming switch.

May be worth waiting a couple more days and then calling them to confirm.

    cazzybabe,

I applied via Topcashback, and the email came from SP next day,

Father-in-law applied via Quidco, and not email from SP, but they confirmed details sent in the post.

Applied via quidco Monday morning got email Tuesday afternoon, my 1st guess if you don't get the email is that it is blocked by a spam filter, it came from contactus@scottishpower.plc.uk subject:- Welcome Letter

or you put in your email address wrong (I can't rember if they did the whole type it in twice thing).

Fixed Price tariff is still available if you phone them. I've signed up this very lunchtime.

    Hi

I just telephoned SP telling them I had not rec'd email/communication from them.

First question from her was which website did I go through - I told her Moneysupermarket, to which she said they havent got our products......however, I can sign up directly with her if I act quick now over the phone.

She said she extremely busy, have not been told of an end date for the fixed price deal but she cannot see it being around much longer.....

    Thanks for all your help

I think Moneysupermarket are having problems passing on the sign-ups as I've now heard a few people not having the details passed onto the supplier and this has been for other suppliers such as EDF too. A couple of these people were relatives. It took a few weeks of chasing and it went through thankfully as the tariff had been dropped shortly after applying.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

The prices vary depending on which part of the country you live in.

But they are all available on the Scottish Power website.

Thanks. Just checked and my current tariff, EDF V5, is far lower than SP's Price Fix, or any other tariff for that matter.

I guess EDF will keep me for a while!
