argos and tesco also have boxes for just about £35 so asda might be the cheapest by a couple of pence max. However much more important is that you really do your homework and get a box that's decent, rather than just cheap.

Well said Tin - that's the best advice to give anyone.
Do your homework first - Don't just buy on price.

If you've got any questions, or require help and advice try asking the good folks that contribute to the forums at:

I've found that what these folks don't know, ain't worth knowing!!

Beware of the cheap freeview box. My son bought one from Asda and after a week or two it gave up the ghost. On returning it CS lady was not surprised and quietly said I wouldnt bother with an exchange we get a lot of these returned!!

Saw this set top box in TJ Hughes advertised at £35. On their website it is £30 but there is a delivery charge of £5. The one in store may be £30 when taken to the checkout. Can't find any info on these boxes so don't know how good they are.

It is £30 in store, I've had it confirmed.

My father has a Sagem ID58 which was £29.99 from Richer Sounds (and argos). It needs a strong signal and only has one scart but otherwise it is an excellent box. It handles all the the channel and software updates by itself.

A twin scart version is available from comet at £34.99
