    Good Morning All

Lovely start to the day here in Essex so think will get some washing on the line. Normal stuff to do today, DD is home as her school is closed but DS should be ok, just need to check the local website.

Looks like OH doesnt have any work so he will go and get the wood we need to make our raised vegetable beds and will make a start on that.

Nothing else to say apart from have a great day.

    Morning all

Cloudy here today, but it started off like this yesterday, and then turned into a lovely day, so fingers crossed

I only have a few things listed on Ebay, but they are selling for rediculous amounts (vintage toys), so fingers crossed. Must find some more things to list.

I have loads of potatoes that need using, so think it will be Aldi lamb shanks for dinner with mashed potatoes and veg.

Hope AnnieB got through yesterday OK, and hugs to Smokey x

    Morning one and all.

It's a bit grey down here today but am I bothered?? EIGHT hours solid sleep last night which is the best I've had in literally years  I feel that good just now I could rip a tissue :D If life gets any better than this, I won't know what to do with myself :o:o

After re-homing my fishies yesterday, I've got two more tanks to sell and that's got the bungalow emptied apart from my big telescope which I'm still undecided about. I do love star-gazing but it's just too big to keep in here. I'm on call tonight so I shall endeavour to re-arrange the Empty Arms Hotel to the way I want it and tea will be something that looks like steak but as I'm not that clever, it could be anything :o  :D

Take care and if anyone is hurting, my thoughts are with you.

    Man try :D

  • Welcome Fi27 :) (and other newbies to follow...!!) Love a cuppa thanks :)

Martyn, that's really good to hear - the world always looks better after a good sleep. You really do sound like a different person from the man who was here a few weeks ago. Not saying things still aren't going to be hard, but it does sound like you are managing to deal with them more... I'm now trying to dredge up out of my memory who it was that used to talk about ripping tissues & similar sayings... Was it Stu Francis of Crackerjack..??? (oh god, I'm really showing my age now :( )

    morning all,

Looks lovely out, bright and sunny, off to w**k again today, I am not really enjoying my work at the moment (I used to love it) but I am working with one girl who seems to be empire building and wants to take over the world  , I am too old for her stupid games and will blow my top at some point or other  .

DD off school again for the NUT allergy, so is off to my mums, with little dog who is still not quite right, DD can keep an eye on her today.

Sainsbugs delivery tonight, and we have pork steaks, reggae sauce and peas for tea, nice and easy.

    Smokey hugs to you xx

ABL, hope yesterday was not too bad xx

    Pen pin hugs xx

Martyn, very chipper this morning, :D

    Welcome FI27 x

Hi FI27 - nice to meet you!

HESTER - I do think your hubby should get that wound looked at professionally; I know men are supposed to be brave but he might get an infection if he doesn't get it treated.

MARTYN - you are a man of many hobbies, aren't you? It's a shame you can't at least keep your telescope so that you aren't giving them all up. You don't have to be clever to cook steak! Just fry or grill it gently - it's cooking it too fast that makes it tough. I like mine very rare so it only takes a minute or so on each side.

R.MAC - how did the exam go?

Well, I wasn't going to come back on here until I'd cleared up the breakfast things and made some cakes but, well - here I am.

I'm going to make a chocolate cake and a sultana cake and then have a go at Haribo's 'fifteens'. I had to hide the tin of condensed milk from DH or he'd have spent the evening eating it straight out of the tin!

Anyway, I'm definitely going now. See you all later.

Glad you had a nice birthday hilstep
Cristabel - well done on your kidnapping!:rotfl: I'm sure he will be very well looked after :)

    welcome back Martyn :T
charlies_mum - Well done with your ebaying!

All quiet here - which is nice, but I've been working stupid hours over the last week - I worked from 6 am to 10 pm last night. We're moving a laboratory to another building and it's a horrible and messy job - all this on top of the thesis. I still can't lift anything, so I'm not even much use but if everyone pitches in it will get done quicker. OH said his first mediation appointment went fine - which was really good (I didn't ask him what was said - it's none of my business and as someone who used to do a lot of counselling, I'm very aware of the confidentiality thing with things like this :) ). He seems more positive now, which is a blessing.

Dinner is vegtable curry (cooked in a fit of insomina at 2 am this morning!) and rice. I need sleep, but I can't...

Hope you have a good day everyone, cel x

Thanks for the lovely comments this morning. At this rate I might even break out into a spontaneous smile :D As Squiggly has said, life looks so much better after a decent night's sleep.

I genuinely feel like a different man today (if only I could find one :o:D ) and to round it off, I'm hopefully getting involved with a local wildlife rescue group so it's great having something to look forward to. And sad though it might sound, this new loptap has made a hell of a difference. Talk about making it easier

Have a good day all, and have :T :A on me :D

Good morning everyone. Went for another walk last night with OH. My calf muscles were aching - so hopefully my legs will start to tone up a bit...either that or I'm seriously even less fit than I thought I was...
((((((hugs)))))) smoky and kids, (((hugs))) annieb-hope you ok after yesterday.
(((hugs))) to all who need or would like one.
Welcome to any newbies. I have one DD at school today and one off and still in her pit!!! Plan of action for today. Get the child up :D take her into work for a couple of hours, write a shopping list-very important or I'l forget loads of stuff that I need!!! Then we can go food shopping. Hoping to have another walk tonight-I have to say i do feel much better for having some exercise and fresh air in the evening.
DD1 had a visitor last night... A young lad (same age as her), complete with skateboard under his arm came calling... She looked suitably impressed...even though it was nearly 10 O' clock when he called-asking if she could go out for an hour. Needless to say, she didn't go out but she enjoyed the visit-bless her.
Right off to drink my tea and feed the cat and put a clean binliner in the bin and put the towels in the tumble drier.....and put my flowers in water that OH bought me last night. Not sure what's for tea tonight...depends what bargains I can grab.
