Meeting new people with little or no money - Is it possible??

Not meaning to be cheeky by this, but what about joining weight watchers or the like? Not to lose weight, but to meet people - I found them friendly when I went in the past, and if you've already lost loads of weight then you'll have loads of confidence to go with it and don't have to worry too much about following their diet!
That's not cheeky. But you are talking to a fully paid up member of Slimming World!!
And it's great to meet people, and I have some nice people at my class. But again my problem is they are all married with kids!!
I swear there are no single people in wiltshire!!! :rotfl:Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
weddings are the worst! I once got sat at a wedding reception right next to 'the arguing couple'
They hated each other and were not afraid to vocalise it.
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
The things which cemented my thoughts of Hull being strange were:
1) In a club they had a take away on the top floor WITHIN the club
2) Another place had cross dressing men on stilts.
EDIT: Yeah for stories!!And with that it's back to work for me as my lunch is over.
Good luck with your salsa lesson and take care. byeee!
Have fun!
One of my best friends is from Sheffield and there are some strange people there!! And really scary women!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -

I was bridesmaid a the last wedding I went to. That wasn't fun and the happy couple split up 6 months later.
I always get the old relative no one knows what to do with.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
I think you should re-name this post:
'Is anyone here under 30, single, and living in Wiltshire?'. That might get you a few possibilities!
The evening class was the best suggestion IMO. Choose the topic carefully though - beauty therapy or childcare isn't likely to attract too many fit blokes!0 -
How about beginner's mechanics?

I think its about meeting new people so I can have a social life. I seem to spend all of my time at home or with my mother!!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Oh dear, my hubby must be bored at work, he just asked me to send him a 'naughty picture' so I took a picture of my cat's bum and sent him that LOL

He said 'That's not quite what I had in mind!'

I thought he'd appreciate the cat's balloon knot!
