    Hi Lucy

Glad to see you back! To be honest im in a similar position. Just come back to DFW. Im 25 in July, single (have been for 8 monthsish) and most of my friends/family are married with children and dont go out!

I am finding it hard to meet new people without going out for drinks of a weekend and spending stupid amounts of money.

Hope you find a cool way! I will be taking notes!

I think a lot of people will be, by the sound of it.

I have agreed to go cycling with a girl from work either one evening after work or on a Sunday. So that's a start. With the summer coming, we could even make it a group thing.

    Can't help you there.

But its scary when you wake up one day and realises that while you have people around you, not all of them are what I would call friends.

  • Totally understand where you are all coming from. When OH left a couple of weeks ago i was suprised to see how many good friends I DO have - there were spare rooms made up for me all over the country! But they are all coupled up and have thier own lives.

And my cat is not very good at keeping me warm at night lol

I said I was far from Wiltshire, but I just assumed that.

Having checked I never realised how far south it was!!

For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!
