I would never eat runner beans before, but a neighbour gave me some fresh from her garden and I washed and trimmed them, cut them on the slant ( looks more interesting!) and steamed them above the pot of potatoes. Fantastic! I am now hooked on runner beans and will have to grow them next year!
I am amazed at all the free food fyou manage to get from the supermarkets. We never seem to get that here.
(Today I bought organic flour from Tesco and when I was putting it away noticed the use before date - July 2005. Phoned them, no apology, just bring back the flour and we'll change it.)0 -
I got 5 low GI meal replacement drinks. Testing them for a company. Gross! But free, and useful seeing as I have to leave the house at 6am tomorrow :rolleyes:Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Today I got cauliflower, beetroot, potatoes, leeks, strawberries and tomatoes
All from XDH's allotment again
That leaves me with 4 cauliflowers to deal with now as Tesco had them on buy 2 for £1, I got one reduced to 29p from the local greengrocer and now a freebie oneOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
