So far this week I have collected 4 x 2lts tubs of Blackberries from the brambles by our wood.

Been given 3 carrier bags of windfall apples from MIL

Been given 1 carrier bag of rhubarb from a friend at school who grows it but doesn't like it.

Anyone else lucky enough to get so much for nowt?

I got 9 eggs, a loaf of bread, two packs of pittas, four little cartons of juice, four bottles of tonic water, a can of soup, a can of beans, a muesli bar and two cans of cider from supermarket bins. Does that count?:)
  • I have a big bag of runner beans sitting in the fridge, courtesy of DS's friend's grandad's allotment, but not sure what to do with them as I don't think I like them very much. Remember my dad growing them when I was a kid and we were forced to eat them cos they were "home grown" and it's kinda put me off :(

my neighbour has given me tomatoes, cucumbers and runner beans from her garden as there were too many for them to eat.I picked loads of blackberries in our garden and my other neighbour gave me some windfall apples from the tree that hangs over hers and most of her pears as she cant eat them herself.
