dlb well done on the weight loss.

Well dropped the car off at the garage, they said expect it back at 5 tonight and anything earlier is a bonus  , so my lovely mum came all the way over collected me and bought me home, not sure how I will collect DD from the station 7 miles away  but we will manage somehow.

So need to hover through, got a wash on, and another to do, need to do an online shop, as sainsbugs web site crashed yesterday, and might clean out the airing cupboard.

Kyle any of that 'cake' left after you and stef have finished can be passed my way :D

    Better get on xx

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday kyle! That cake-bearer of Aussie's didn't look very much like a hot Indian to me. Think I preferred the one you had a few weeks ago:rotfl:

mrs mix, fingers crossed for your Dad's tests and results. Must be very worrying, sending a (hug)

anniebooklover, in my thoughts and prayers.

ivyleaf, I guess we know the answer to acquired immunity. Doesn't last that long! Poor DGD and DD. Still at least that will be one childhood illness out of the way.

The sun is trying very hard to shine this morning, so that's my prompt to get some more washing in the machine as it will dry outside. Only problem being I shall have to go into the garden and try desperately not to notice the indigenous plants popping up everywhere! (Sounds so much better than weeds, don't you think:rotfl: )

DS4 is calling in tonight after work, so I'll make one of his favourites for dinner, probably kedgeree, and I've got a lovely fruit jelly terrine thingy ( I confess, reduced in M&S, and it's delish:o :D ) for pudding.

    Morning all :hello:

    Happy birthday Kyle :bdaycake:

(((hugs))) to smokybabe, anniebooklover, Penny-Pincher!! and anybody else in need. Benthosboy, how are you doing today?

Congratulations on the weight loss dlb :T

I am off to the gym at lunchtime for an Aqua Circuit class. The new timetable starts next week and they have cut the number of Aqua Aerobics and Aqua Circuit classes in half  Most of the sessions I actually go to on a regular basis are still on the timetable, but I suspect that because so many others have been scrapped, the remaining classes will be a lot busier

Got an email from my ebay seller yesterday to say my new Panasonic SD255 Breadmaker has been sent and should be with me TODAY :j :j :j so here's hoping!

Need to go grocery shopping this evening, just for odds and ends - a few basic "staples" and some fresh fruit and veg. I shouldn't have any problem sticking to my reduced weekly budget of £10 (it's normally £20 but am tightening the purse strings for April and May to use up what's in the cupboard and put a bit of money aside for other things). My general pocket-money on the other hand will be right down to the wire this week as I've got so many things to squeeze out of it. Like the groceries, I'm trying to save £10 a week on pocket-money, however this week it just isn't going to happen. I am still hoping to squirrel away £7 somehow, as the Book People are visiting my office next Tuesday, and I have promised myself a new James Martin (:heartpuls) recipe book :D

I bought a pack of cheapie 49p Aldi courgettes last week just because they were cheap, without them being part of any sort of meal plan :o so they are still sitting in the fridge, and I have found a nice recipe on the BBC website for courgette risotto which I am planning on making tonight. I've still got a pack of red and yellow peppers sitting there too, so I'll be making soup with those. I hope I've got enough freezer containers - I managed to smash one of my expensive lock&lock ones last night when I dropped it on the floor as I took it out of the freezer

    Anyway see you all later

    Love Rzl xx

Hi all - just sat down with a cuppa.

CRAZY -what a horrible thing to happen to you. Some people are just bullies behind the wheel.

DLB - that's brilliant weight loss in a month! Well done.

Well, I'm in the satisfying postion of having all the boring chores done - apart from business paperwork but, now that I have cleared up my desk area, even that doesn't seem to be so bad! I just have to discipline myself to get off here!

(((Hugs))) to all who are poorly, have ill relatives or hospital visits.

Well,I suppose I'd better go and put my 'office' hat on so see you all later.

    Morning all!

Annie - you and your family are in my prayers, i hope that everything goes as well as possible tomorrow.

Lovely here, nice and peaceful, except for me shouting at pooter for losing my post I just wrote, wonder if that's why its now behaving, lol!

Kids at school, though they are suffering from the nut allergy on Thursday as well! And oh away with work, lovely! Hoovering not so bad when the floor stays clear all day, nice to see sink is still empty and cupboards are still full, I beginning to think it might not be naughty fairies who cause all the chaos after all!

SC on with lentil pate mix - thanks Weezl! Smells lovely. Kids asked why lentils were out as they never eat them, hmm if they only knew! They usually live in a big jar under the worktop - lentils, not kids, though its a thought! Doing pie and chips for tea tonight, pies from freezer, will need the space for this pate later!

OH forgot his bank card, but has building soc card, so off into town later to swap some money over for him! Also to finish jobs that couldn't do cos he was with me yday! Might have a look in Boots for hair dye, then again it won't make it grow which is the real problem, ho hum!

Have a lovely day everyone. x

    Morning all,

smoky, thanks for keeping in touch with us. Please don't beat yourself up about what you aren't doing, just concentrate on what you have managed.
Anniebooklover, I'm so sorry to read what your family are going through...I hope the family support tomorrow will help your nephew and his wife.
dlb, well done on the weight loss!
    crazychick, that sounded scary.
jaward, good luck at the hospital this afternoon.
Mrs Mix, I hope the results are good.
Jannyannie, I hope kitty is ok.
    TNG, welcome!
Kyle, have a lovely day! :bdaycake:

I'm not in a good mood this morning.....I woke to Mr Pink and dd having an argument because she's gone over her mobile contract for the third month in a row. Normally he's very laid back but this stresses him and in turn stresses me. So I was sharp with the other kids and I think they were all glad to get out of the house this morning. Now I have an attack of the guilts. :o

Anyway, I'll make it up to them all after school. In the meantime the sun is shining and showing all the dust in the house, but the garden is beckoning. ;) Dust or garden? Garden or dust? I think I'll just pop into the garden for a while. :D

Tea tonight is cottage pie and I've got lots of veg to use up. Tomorrow is my annual appraisal at work so I'll need to look at the form for that at some stage today. The bread is running low so I'll have to do some baking too (thanks Haribo for the loaf tin, I love it). Maybe if I stick some double chocolate muffins on too for after school, the kids will forget what a grumpy mum they had this morning. :o

((Hugs)) to anyone feeling poorly or under the weather.

    Have a good day,

    Pink

Typical the garage have just phoned to say my car is ready  had I known it would be this quick I would have waited and had a coffee, never mind at least its done.

Talking about the NUT strike, I asked my dd if her school was on strike, she said yes I think so but we have to go into school anyway, I asked her who was looking after them and she did not know. I phoned the school this morning and was told yes they are on strike so not to send them in. I think DD and pal's were planning a day in town, only to be thawted by moi :D;) . When will she learn, had she told me the truth and asked to go into town then I would have let her, but not now she has lied, she can have a day of homework Mwhahaha :D
