HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLE :bdaycake::bdaycake: enjoy your cherry cake x
morning all, will be back later0 -
Good morning,
I'll be off to work in a minute. One of the ladies there is struggling as her ex has stopped paying maintenance for the children. Thanks to this site I spent 10 minutes yesterday explaining how many meals you can make from one chicken. Her face was a picture.
She went home with a recipe for chicken soup and a recipe for os lasagne (add lentils etc to make it go further).
I really do appreciate the encouragement this site offers for people wanting to cook on a budget.
Take care all of you

Morning al
:bdaycake: Kyle, treat yourself to a hot Indian, you deserve it
Just watching GMTV about the guy who has been given a fine and a criminal record for overfilling his wheelie bin. Is it me, or is this country going mad - I am turning into a real grumpy old woman, but some things that happen just beggar belief
Weigh in today, and it's touch and go whether I have lost anything. Skipping breakfast until afterwards, but I can't do without my cup of tea, and that will probably put a pound on
Naughty dinner tonight, chips, beans and sausages
((( hugs ))) to everyone who wants one xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Good Morning.....Been up for a while, but I decided to update my shopping list for Mr. Tesco to bring it tomorrow.
I was just about to listen to "The Archers" last night when my chum phoned from the USA. I answered the phone and yakked for an hour so I need to catch up with Ambridge later...Most of my friends don't phone at the 7.02 pm time ever since I had to apologize to my dad.....Imagine my horror when I ate the face of the Daddy for phoning when the archers was on???
I was SO ashamed of putting something so frivolous before family. That was a lesson I can tell you.
I have laundry to do, but I only allow myself to do two loads per day.......Today, my BEST is good enough.0 -
Good Morning All
Many Happy Returns Kyle - have a great day.
(((hugs))) for Smokey and anyone else who needs one.
Weather isnt looking too nice at the moment but think is meant to be quite warm today :j , at last.
I shall be waiting for the post so I can do wages, some office work but mainly ironing and housework today. OH has some work which is very good. Managed to speak to solicitor about his mitigation yesterday and he has every hope that OH will keep his licence so that is excellent news though wont count our chickens and all that.
Think chilli is on the menu plan though DS wont be a footie after all - he has started a new training session which is tomorrow night.
Off now to finish coffee and have a surf.

Happy Birthday Kyle!!:bdaycake: and congratulations Twink on being the mum of the birthday girl today!
CharliesMum - I quite agree with you about the state of the country and the bins. At the moment, our binmen are the same angels they've always been; we have our recycling bin emptied once a fortnight and our household rubbish taken once a week so I think we are luckier than a lot of other areas. I do feel that I'm being watched now every time I throw anything away. I've got into the habit of saying to DH 'put that in the right bin, or you'll go to prison!' My Mum is worrying because she recycles properly and her neighbours don't and their bins are next to each other. She has seen her neighbour put the wrong rubbish in her bin and was so worried that she'd get 'done' that she phoned the local authority and explained. Her neighbours are lovely people (apart from the rubbish) so she doesn't want to fall out with them. She has also heard that we will soon be charged per bag so she is making one black bin liner last her all week. The trouble is, she can hardly lift it when it's full (she's 5' tall and weighs 7.5 stone!) and, in the summer, it's going to make the kitchen smell. I do think that they bring all these rules in without thinking them through - not everyone can comply with all of them. I also check my bins for microchips now! Rant over!
I should not even be sat down here because I have so much to do but I've changed the sheets and put the WM on and cleared up the breakfast things so I feel I've 'earned' another sit down!.
It looks like it's going to be a lovely day - the sun is breaking through the clouds and it's getting warm. I hope it's the same everywhere else.
Oh, well, I'd better drag the hoover up the stairs! See you all later.

Morning all,
(((((smokey, penpin, anniebl, martyn)))))) and also those who I have forgotten..... (memory of a goldfish!)
Happy Birthday Kyle too - have a great day
Sounds like there's some busy-bees up already... I am over in back-to-back meetings in Hastings all day & then straight into a school governor's meeting at 5.30. I am going to be ravenous by then... can see I will just be grabbing mars bars on the run - so much for getting restarted for the 1000th time with my healthy eating/exercise plan...
I agree about the bin thing - how utterly pathetic. Our council does doorstep recycling but not plastic or cardboard which are the bulk of my rubbish! But the adjoining local council does, so a few roads away they are taken. It seems pointless banging on at everyone to recycle etc, when the councils aren't particularly supportive in helping people to do so (I'm thinking of those who aren't able to take things like that to a recycling point elsewhere).
Anyway, must get up & moving, have some porridge to fill me up for brekkie. Am tired before I even get started.....
Have a good day all.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0
