Blimey Ampersand, you said a gobfull! Well writ may I say; I have also used 'No Timetable' to try and calm MOT down and encourage her to see that there is no need to think it all has to be done 'now'.
She has a wonderful new home and, compared to some other juveniles, two pretty fine children. She has set a wonderful example to them and it will reap benefits. Any road up, show me a child that hasn't had a strop. The trouble with A is that he is very sensitive (as was I at his age) and name calling hurts more than a punch.
Looking forward to our weekend with MOT's sister and man.0 -
Weather's looking lovely for it, too.
No-one dares rain on mot's parade these days.
Have a glorious long weekend both of you(two special people) and all who read here.
em'd this to mot earlier - but it can be here, too:

MOT & I had a fabulous weekend with her sis and BIL. Took a train into London and picked up some half price tickets for the Sound of Music; 8 rows from the stage. A tremendous show. Came home to my (here's one I prepared earlier) Gumbo. Drank some wine  and as MOT was cream crackered and in pain from our walk around the West End it was early to bed. Sunday morning went to a General Sale auction at Tring. A lot of rubbish being sold but it was made entertaining by the auctioneer's dry witty remarks. Needless to say we didn't buy anything. I made a spicy Cottage pie and MOT made rhubarb crumble and we played a board game followed by Charades. We drank some wine  This morning (Monday) Sis, BIL and I walked the 2miles along the canal tow path to a local pub. MOT unable to walk it with us due to hip and back pain so she drove my car down to meet us there. Had a nice meal sitting outside in the sun, canal side. So, all in all a wonderful weekend and I can already see the difference the new home and some nice weather is making on MOT. Now if only we could get her hip and back fixed.

Morning all,
No need to update you with the weekend as I-T has and he has got it quite right!
The Sound of Music was lovely, Summer Strallen (?) who plays Maria now was really good and the children were so sweet - they had me in tears!
Sis and BIL brought me their old garden furniture which is great now that the weather is taking a turn for the better. Its so lovely to be able to have all the doors and windows open, and to be able to just walk out into the garden. I am so pleases that we are not in that flat anymore, it would have been awful (well more awful) in this lovely weather.
Going to Chiropractors this morning and have appt to see Consultant tomorrow night.
Also collecting an order from the 'Fish Man', have ordered some salmon fillets which seem really good value but don't really know how many I'm getting as don't understand the weight in kgs then cost in £'s so I'll let you know!Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
